On one hand he has a point, dwarf actors should get the part due to their acting skills and not just reduced to little funny men. On the other hand, he's a self important prick who had rich parents supporting him. There are fewer of them so naturally the pool of good actors among dwarfs will be smaller too so most of them won't get casted outside of those typecasted roles. However most dwarf actors are just trying to get by with whatever jobs works for them and there is a lot of normal jobs that simply aren't available to them and now a lot of them can't even get acting as a possible job option because they don't have rich parents

I point those people out to say that there's a difference between someone being bad at doing voices, and someone who has one voice that's distinctive and appreciated because of itself.

I won't pretend the average person with no practice is better than him, but again people I've known who had no designs on voice acting as a career had more range both emotionally and in terms of voices themselves than I've ever seen from ProzD.

Tabletop gaming is basically nothing but amateur voice acting and I've done plenty.
I've also seen plenty of tubers try to pivot to voice acting, seen plenty of indie youtube animations that obviously had amateur VAs by necessity. Big fan of Alfabusa's shit since 2015 and that's pretty much some random internet friend group's side-hustle.
It's anecdotal sure, but it's not like I only watch million dollar movies or some shit.
