How big of an influence has /co/ been in the creation of professional cartoons?
>>
is that thread archived?

That one artist who drew the funny stuffed animal comic frequents here.

/co/ used to be so different back then, now it's just
>>
>>152184253
i'd love to see the original thread. So many great stuff originated from 4chan.
>>
>>152184253
4chan as a whole has a huge influence on the wider net but everyone hates to acknowledge that due to the fact that it would mean admitting they don’t have control and are at the mercy of a bunch of autists on a dutch weasel stomping forum.

no, it's too old

>>152184447
I think from 2015 until recently the issue was more all the stupid /pol/tards but now X is far less moderated than here so not really a reason for a stigma to exist
>>
>>152184447
speaking of which, do you have your viking helmets and mayonnaise ready? the holiday season is coming up fast
>>
>>152184253
What the fuck? Fionna and Cake came from here?
>>
>>152184447
Well, it did, /co/ is still the best comic community despite Discords allegations.
>>
there was discussion about this on the previous fionna and cake thread
>>152118327
>>
>>152184447
Everyone knows that already, but we're a lot less influential on internet culture than we used to be aside from Ameritard culture war/political horseshit.
>>
>>152184253
Back when "pros" lurked 4chan and weren't scared too.
Now no one wants to be associated and or seen on this hell hole (I get it).
I wonder if the people who created her name or asked for the art are still around...or even alive anymore.
They got ZERO monies but can forever feel proud their request and creativity sparked an entire spin off years later.

>/co is responsible for Fiona and cake
Every day I hate this board more and more
>>
hey /co/! Lets make our own cartoon character RIGHT FRICKING NOW!

No fucking way

who

>>152184274
>>152184444
I think that og thread was in 2010 or 2011. The oldest the archive goes back is late 2012 but for images its even later than that.
So much of old /co/ is gone forever. Back when you had to vote to get things archived on archive sites, only the best of the best.

They’re cute!

I like proto-Cake’s little “mustache”
I guess this was before everyone was R63’d
>>
>>152184618
>mustache
it's supposed to be like jake's jowls
>>
>>152184540
I thought 4chan was always kinda seen as edgy by outsiders? Did /pol/tards and election tourists just make it a lot worse?
>>
>>152184648
4chan used to not be known by normies really before the 2016 elections, after that it became known as the "hacker known as 4chan" and people saw it as like radical alt right who memed drumpf into office and didn't really understand what this place is
but basically people think this is like some dangerous secret dark web hackerz forum for crazies now
>>
>>152184663
worse than that, 4chan is 22 years old. In that time it went from the internet only being in the hands of certain parts of the world, even only certain parts of countries in 2004, to being inundated with 0 IQ dumbfucks from all over the world.

>In that time it went from the internet only being in the hands of certain parts of the world, even only certain parts of countries in 2004
This is always such a retarded take to hear, 4chan was full of cambodian, iranian and pakistani shitposters in 2004 it's not even funny.
Not that any of you saying this shit would know, none of you were here to see it, unlike me.
>>
>>152184663
please stop explaining shit like it's the truth, newfag
4chan has gone in and out of the public's awareness for longer than you've been alive
>>
>>152184636
Which is also Jake’s mustache
>>
>>152184663
>4chan used to not be known by normies really before the 2016 elections

Not true, plenty of people used to frequent the site before it became 90% bots and schizos. /co/, /v/ and /mu/ and /b/ have had industry people shitposting before they were well known or that it was known they were shitposting here at all
