Do you miss the past, /co/?
4chan was more fun before /pol/ seeped into every board.
>>152401522Nostalgia is poison. I don't indulge in it.
>>152401708STOP IT
>>152401522I used to think the cartoons that I grew up with were the best. And then I watched everything. Now I think cartoons from the 40s are the best, and it's all been downhill from there.
>>152401698>>152401698>zigger>racist in universe term used by peopl from the cartoon horse board to refer to zebras>now unironically being used across the entire net to mean Ruzzian soldiers>mfw
>>152401708>uncsThis is such a faggoty Twitter word. I'd unironically just rather be called old.
>>152401725If it makes you feel better my first console was a PS3
>>152401773
>>152401675But where's the joke?
>>152401522I started that thread. I was not disappointed by the answer.
>>152401883It was 16 years ago give em a break
>>152401897... Or at least I asked the question. I don't remember if it was a thread or just a reply. It was a long time ago.
>>152401522Lmao im watching Jetsons and Flintstones right now
>>152401522I would sacrifice everything I have now to turn back 28 years while retaining most if not all of my current knowledge and try to change even a few things for the better.>tldrYes.
>>152401897>>152401924You sir, are a legend
>>152401708>two gens of parents at 20This just means anon comes from a borderline hick family
>>152401902I feel like calling something "Epic Win" was old even by 2010
>>152401522Not really. Dwelling on the past is how you get depressed. Always to the future.
>>152401522The past is far behind us. The future doesn't exist.
>>152401757This one pops into my head at random at least once a year.
>>152402897It's a very ghetto-coded post>Calling people uncs>Posting on /b/ instead of /v/>Inherited a PS1 instead of Sega/Nintendo consoleThe only point against that anon being black is that he knows his father and grandfather.
Was /co/ better 10 years ago?
>>152405173Marginally. It was definitely more active. 10 years ago /co/ got 40k posts a day, now it's about 10k posts a day.
>>152401611Don't blame /pol/. Blame faggot jannies & mods for making /pol/ unusable.
>>152401522Sometimes.I miss the way action cartoons were from the '90s to mid '00s specifically
>>152405273found the /pol/tard
>>152401522I miss the past vision of the future. 60s retro-futurism was fucking cool. I want more shows/films/cartoons with ray guns, bubble helmets, rockets with tail fins and circular windows, etc. I wish people did more with that aesthetic and didn't feel the need to be tongue in cheek about it. It would be cool to see that aesthetic played as a serious space adventure.
>>152405242Yes and no. There was a lot more actual discussion and not much of the /pol/shit that runs rampant over the rest of the site. One problem was the jannies though. They used to be a lot more tyrannical and banished just about any currently airing show or show they didn't like to /trash/ between seasons.
>>152402869I personally credit the person that answered. My question was a pale attempt to start some kind of discussion.
>>152401611not exactly
>>152402897>>152404153Anti-natalists should lead by example
>>152405173Yes. The late 2000s were the best, and then ponies were an obvious shitstorm, but the early 2010s after gave me a few comfy years of being able to discuss indie and Euro cartoons without schizos or /pol/ ruining everything. There were more funny happenings and drawfag OC (despite the /v/ meme about /co/ not making anything). Not to mention the talkback threads, although they were just autistic as today in many regards, I just remember it fondly because the actual shows airing were better. It was a lot of fun while it lasted. /co/ had more of a shared community feel. There was an assumption that every anon wanted to post on /co/ because they liked comics and cartoons. That feels alien today, I don’t trust that anyone is genuine and have become someone who almost exclusively lurks because I just know I’ll regret engaging honestly.
>>152405173Yes but barely, that was the start of the declineThe true good age was the late 00s
>>152401611No, it was more fun until Tumblr managed to slither into janny positions and let their buddies shit up all the boards and ban you for pointing it out.
>>152401736If it makes you feel better the current use of zigger is not derived from the personal tiny equine cartoon.
>>152401522>Do you miss the past, /co/?I do, like everyone. More than ever I feel like I've seen it all and it's hard to be excited for now stuff. There are two particular decades that come to mind when it comes to /co/related media, the mid 00's when I was an early teen and was really excited for all the Star Wars and Ultimate Marvel comics being published, the other is the early 2010's; Comics youtube was wholesome, people were excited for new Star Wars movies, some good shows from CN Nick and Disney were being produced. Is not that things are all bad now, there are some good shows/comics from recent years but again, is hard for me now to really be looking forward to things.Maybe I'm getting old.
>>152401522Only soulless zoomeroids don't
>>152405406Now what?
>/pol/>Awful moderation >Almost teen years without entertaining comics and cartoons The /co/ killers.

>>152401522I miss being a kid enjoying childhood fun yes. But then again i love the taste of beer now that im an adult.
