As someone with OCD, this is very clearly some type of OCD, but taken to an extreme where instead of hand-washing or clapping or whatever he has to kill people to satisfy the obsession with spirals. This is more interesting than just a normal serial killer honestly and kinda satisfying as an explanation for the whole spiral bullshit.I doubt they'll explore his psychology in any interesting ways but I do find this premise interesting at the very least.
