season 2 was the worst season, S1 was fun and snappily paced and S2 just spends tooooo much time with everyone being sad. I genuinely thought after reading the comics that they needed to expand on peoples' feelings because they start coming off as callous especially towards the end but this is a bit much part of the reason I don't like them cutting eve's dad's insane rant is because it's so out of pocket compared to everything else going on and combined with mark's reaction it's a genuine moment of levity, in the show it's just replaced with more of mark's suffering and instead the hell episode is the levity episode but it's just awkwardly slotted in
