What does SOMA theory even add? The show has touched on AI being as real as people since episode 2. Episode 4 ends with Pomni letting go and deciding to focus on the others. Pomni laughs at Jax abusing Evil Jax in episode 5, and almost the entire fandom doesn't give a single shit about Jax destroying the candy kingdom.

It also inherently makes a comment on the “realness” - Scratch clearly thought making a digital copy of himself was way of escaping death/achieving immortality, so he definitely thought of it as real. Kinger can explain this in a few words, and then the last episode proceeds to be about everybody’s final psychological conflicts with the realness and worth of their existences, which is what this show has always been about. It could remain a mystery, but then you’re leaving the characters with the cruelty of confusion for eternity,
