I just don’t see what’s wrong with living in the world of the amazing digital circus? Now that the finale is over, I can say that the circus is literally better than real life. Characters can feel pain, taste, pretty much do everything a human can and THEN some now that Caine offered to share his powers. Even before Caine offered to do this, I felt the eternal punishment felt lacking and that TADC was just a VRChat roleplay with angst. I think the problem is every creator wants "dark isekais." They wanna create these colorful afterlife worlds that basically solves all problems in modern sociey like poverty, disease, war. But then they realize without these problems there’s no conflict, so they add extra shit to make it feel dark. But those extra elements just feel like a lamer version of what we have in real life. Like Hazbin Hotel essentially just being California but red.In TADC’s case abstraction is literally just death except your corpse turns into a wild animal. It’s all just so lame.
