Will they be good?Does this also mean the PPG reboot by Craig is cancelled?
>>154360881
>>154360881how many times are they going to keep rebooting the same shit?
>>154360881Probably not. Warner's heinously incompetent and hollywood hasnt yet flushed their talent pool yet, so everybody responsible for the last decade's worth of dogshit is still around now.
>>154360881They look on model but I worked on my tolerance
>>154360960As many times as it takes for new shit to catch on.We haven't had anything successful that didn't self sabotage like adventure time.
>>154360881It will not be good because executives and animators have their heads firmly planted in their asses and outright REFUSE to give people what they want.

>>154360881Who knows, The revival series may have changed to this movie.
>>154360881It turned into this. It was going to be a plot-driven revival but it ended up being deemed better as a movie. It's a less twisted version of how the Courage revival turned into the Scooby-Doo crossover (to Dilworth's annoyance.)
>>154360881please revive thundercats 2011. please revive thundercats 2011>ppg reboot by craigehh was he gonna reboot it? why?>>154361164It's so weird when something hits perfection right in the middle.
>>154360922Toddler pussy.
>>154360881To be honest, I didn't even like the original PPG movie. And I saw it in theaters.
bump
>>154361164Pretty much this. My guess that it's another star wars clone wars situation. The movie is essentially gonna be the first arc of the revival series which was going to be more serialized and the show itself will be more episodic
>>154361164>>154361194>>154362815Or another Gumball revival movie scenerio.Where they were trying to make a movie based around the cliffhanger final but instead we get reboot Gumball
>>154360881It will be nothing until they actually hand out the product. My hopes is for them to make something decent, but unremarkable. Everyone who could be excited to watch it won't be satisfied with whatever they receive, after all they have been waiting for over 24 years for something great to come out of this IP again.Let's see them not fumble the release date AGAIN. A lot harder these days since everything is so mediocre and not worth watching in theaters, but consumers and brand loyalists still exist.
>>154361198Cause he had no job. His only options were to get more projects rejected or earn some money through an IP he made that he had to watch getting dragged through the mud ever since he abandoned it.
What would you like the movie to be about? Frankly speaking, I can't think of anything outstanding. I would like the focus villain to be either the ruffs or HIM. Problem with the latter is, it should only be done for a grand finale of the franchise, not a possible new beginning.I could see Morbucks, but she already had her big role in the christmas special. Sorta, sorta same as Sedusa with her egyptian vengeance.Maybe a Dick comeback? But creepy.
A shame the PPG "reboot" won't get made. It sounded more like it was going to be a continuation of the series and was going to be a bit more serialized.
>>154364819I wasn't keen on the whole 3D idea.
>>154361198> ehh was he gonna reboot it? why?He had mentioned that he pitched 14 original fucking ideas, but all execs wanted was reboots of existing IPs. I don’t think he’s happy about it either, but he needs to work.
>>154365029He should kill the competition and the execs. He's closer to them than us.
>>154363964The project keeps bouncing back and forth between movie and show, until Craig dies without even finishing Foster preschool reboot
>>154361198>It's so weird when something hits perfection right in the middleNot tht weird, many things peak at the middle: shrek 2, megaman x4, playstation 2, dragon ball z, got, resident evil 3 and 4. First period is experimental, finding its footing. Second is perfected formula. Either it keeps the quality or downhill from there.
>amen break intensifies
>>154366498>trumpets drop in
watch the original, it's really fucking good. https://archive.org/details/powerpuff-girls-complete-series/
>>154364819Is that confirmed to be dead in the water? Also, where did you hear it would be 3d?
>>154366425>until Craig dies without even finishing Foster preschool rebootI wouldn’t worry about that
>>154366497> First period is experimental, finding its footing. Second is perfected formula.Which is why it fucking sucks when shows get canceled after the 1st season. So many shows have not great 1st seasons but go on to become all timers.

>>154369216>>154367184>>154364819Craig Mckracken deleted his twitter account 2 years ago when the epstein president was elected. He made a blusky account the same day but he only made a single post the same day and hasn't updated in 2 yearsHe seems to.have vanished from social media in general. The most recent thing from him is an Instagram, which he rarely updates, post honoring Tom Kane.I'm curious where you read this unless Craig announced this 2 years ago and no one noticed which is doubtful
>>154369826Yeah it was before he deleted it.
>>154366425>>154367194Apparrently Craig and his team have been prioritizing working on the Foster's Home preschool show over PPG.My guess is that they finished all the episodes CN ordered for Foster's Funtime and that has allowed Craig to move onto the powerpuff girls reboot. We'll probably see the Foster's Funtime this year or early nextAlso Craig Mckracken never actually said he was developing the new ppg shows as a tv show.
>>154369942I was referring to the dead in the water remark
>>154360960Well, at least the original creator was involved this time.
Craig McKracken is probably working on this. He never actually called his new project a reboot or a new series. This post pretty much alluded to the fact it wasn't going to be a tv show. I clould see the movie used as a set up for a new show though
>>154370077Can you imagine if he was talking about merchandise this whole time?
People talk about letting things die, when reboots, sequels and remasters have been a thing since forever ago. They should be really saying let things rest until you can actually make something good and not saturate it with crap.
>>154369216bullshit
>>154370077If this WB film is actually a realistic possibility, and IF it has McCracken attached to it, I will be cautiously optimistic about it. I honestly think McCracken doesn't miss. And yes, that includes Kid Cosmic (which I adore).

>>154360881Will it have a DK crossover?
>>154360960Johnny Bravo used to be the most popular Cartoon Network show but thanks to #MeToo they have to pretend he never existed. An example being the social media pages celebrating the anniversary of Cow and Chicken releasing but not Johnny Bravo (despite them coming out a single day apart). Ironic thing is that when they did market research they found that women ended up loving Johnny Bravo even more than the men.So we'll never get a Johnny Bravo reboot/revival, even though at some point there were a bunch of talks about a live action movie starring the Rock. At this point I guess they could go with John Cena if they had the fucking balls.
>>154371934Him and Pepe lePew will never see the light of day ever again
>>154371934Johnny Bravo hasn't been popular since the mid 2000's. It was already at least 10 years out of style when the metoo shit started Also Johnny Bravo was never the most popular shownon CN. Where did you get that? Maybe for a couple months in 1997 before the ppg came out in 98 but jb has never been one or CN's cash cowsIndian opinions don't count
>>154373319>implying indians have the ability to think
>>154373319>"Also Johnny Bravo was never the most popular shownon CN. Where did you get that?">"Johnny Bravo was Cartoon Network's highest-rated program in 1999, garnering a 2.2 rating in households and a 4.4 rating among children aged 6 to 11 years, its target demographic."There's a reason Johnny was given his own programming block to host, playing different cartoons.https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=WFeryfjKyfwAnd there is a difference between "being popular" and "pretending he doesn't exist". Like I said earlier there is no reason Cartoon Network should be celebrating the anniversary of Cow and Chicken but not Johnny Bravo when they came out a day apart. When they look back on old Cartoon Network shows they consistently ignore Johnny.
>>154373767Kirk Tingblad confirmed it too, it was very popular, but CN, Mike Lazzo in particular did not like the staff, purely because they were from Warner Bros.

>>154374896There is a level of hate, greed and retardation among executives and directors that is incomprehensible to us. So many bad decisions, so many potentially good shows killed, so much garbage produced. And I bet they don't care cause whatever happens they don't lose.
>>154366497The craziest example of this I can think of is JoJo's Bizarre Adventure. Part 2 is regarded as the best of the first 3 parts. However, between the first 6, third one is the most popular and it was the introduction of the series' defining element: stands. Part 7 stands in the middle of the end of an era and the start of a new beginning, being Araki's most highly appraised work.Sure, is a bit of a stretch of what counts as "middle". It is interesting how the middle gets redefined as the series progresses and it gets a new high in between.
