Why does the author of this comic get big butt-mad and threaten to sue everyone who tries to make sure his work from over 30 years ago is never forgotten?
>>154471948Survivors guilt because Cris Katan broke his back
>>154471948What do you call this Neo-African leafy book fair aesthetic? I feel like was especially common in the mid-to-late 90s especially in promotional material or in magazines like old Taco Bell ads.
>>154471948>did not even finish itWhat a bitch.
>>154472009Kind of Picasso cubist esque https://aesthetics.fandom.com/wiki/Global_Village_CoffeehousePotentially this too
Such a damn shame he feels that way
>>154472436Pulled a GRRM
>>154471970He injured himself during an SNL skit, not during filming Monkey Bone... although it is freakish that he played a dead guy with a broken neck and then broke his neck a few months later.
>>154471948Every time someone reminds me that Monkeybone exists it causes me psychic damage. Especially because the director also made Coraline and it's referenced in Coraline.
>>154472725Why? It's not even that bad. It's not great, but it was at least a pretty original and interesting premise for a movie.
>>154472725Monkeybone is the Cool World of stop-motion.
>>154472725I remember being really excited for it when I was a kid, for some reason (was it talked about in Wizard?) and then it ended up being really mid.
>>154472762Nothing is the Cool World of anything except Cool World.
>>154471970I gotta ask, was his character even in the comic? 'Cuz it's feels like a studio add-on and ruins the entire movie.
He did do a interview where he told what the ending to the comic would be so at least we know where the story was heading
>>154472697my bad, but fuck SNL for abandoning the guy.
>>154471948cool cover art
>>154471948Never heard of it. Reminds me of Mattotti.
>>154474408Thread got me to rewatch the movie The whole Kattan sequence is a lot better than I remember it being. I forgot how good that guy used to be at physical comedy.
>>154472725Ya mrs. cat eating the rat gave me complicated feelings even to this day. I would have been better off not seeing it.
>>154475471It's very nice. Reminds of the 90s corporate art in a good sense.
>>154474613So? What's the ending?
>>154478836The author won't let anyone repeat it otherwise he'll sue.
>>154479479He's the Billy Mitchell of indie comics basically.
>>154477017Egh...
Bump
>>154479479Is the comic even worth reading?
>>154480970Maybe
>>154480970It's hundreds of dollars on eBay. It's the only way to read it.
>>154482356Fuck that. Someone leak it here. He can't sue 4chan anons lmao.
>>154474643To be fair Katan was a notorious asshole on SNL and, IIRC, the thing that got him fired fron the show was he got caught trying to pass off soneone's rejected skit as his own, rewritten to make his character in the skit the main character. A cardinal sin to Lorne Michaels, who fired Jay Mohr and had to pay off, out of pocket, a good chunk of money to the cast member who's work Mohr plagerized to keep her from suing.
>>154482356Serious? I think I owned a copy of this book ages ago as part of a bunch of comics a coworker gifted me that they didnt want anymore. I think I threw it away...
>>154483173Welp you threw away 2 or 3 Omnis worth of money like a dumbfuck.
