Use the sex change machine to become a hot girl for a bit, have your fun and do whatever you wanted to do with a temporary transformation, and then use it to switch back... but its not an "undo" button. It changes you into a guy again, but that male body you end up with isn't *you* any more than the female body you were in looked like your sister. It might have the same hair and eye color, the same ROUGH phenotype, but you'd never be confused for the person you started off as. Even if its not randomized further, you've accidentally fucked yourself because now you can't convince anyone that you are your old self. You don't match any id, and your family will never believe you are who you say you are unless you can SHOW them the machine working to explain what happened. This also sets up for you to have multiple transformations throughout the story, as the guy tries tweaking the settings on the machine to change the parameters of the transformation and ending up with a growing list of male and female forms as a result, further complicating his life as each form ends up having its own identity with people he met and interacted with while wearing that body and it all gets confused.
