Kass about to get a clue where zhat zhing came from?
>>
This doesn't seem like it'll go well
>>
>>155609103
They are yinglets, what they consider artifacts could be anything irrelevant lol
>>
So we'll just pretend the previous freak-out didn't happen.
>>
>>155609109
Very obviously not.
>>
>>155609414
They’re yinglets
It happens literally all the time
>>
>>155609047
This series has trained me to expect the topic to be totally undermined and it just be some bullshit after these kinds of dramatics.
But who knows, maybe the plot will actually progress after however many years.
>>
>>155609047
>15 years
I thought yiggers lived at most to 25, 30 years. 15 would be middle age, but I'm probably wrong.
>>
>>155609538
15 in human years would be 15.

I'm guessing "15 human years" translates to like 5 or 7 yinglet years
>>
>>155609103
Kass doesn't know Narklet was working with Brakka and thus his involvement with Lopin and zhat zhing, he could easily deduce whatever that was they're looking for more. It depends how comfortable she feels with Kass looking for revenge or focus on searching for a cure among the scavenging
>>
>>155609047
Did he change the way he does line-art?
>>
>>155609822
Valsalia doesn't understand the terminology. Narklet should be 5 or seven human years, or 15 yinglet years, not the other way around.
>>
>>155609538
>>155609822
I'm pretty sure the age conversion would put him at 1 to 2 years old.
>>
>>155610081
It's you. Narklet is five or seven years old, which translated into the human equivalent is fourteen or fifteen years old.
>>
>>155610081
No, you're retarded. 5 in human years makes you a toddler. 15 in yinglet years makes you a middle aged adult.
Meanwhile 15 in human years makes you a teen, and 5 in yinglet years also makes you a teen.

>>
>>155610136
>>155610148
You people should be enslaved in a lithium mine.
When speaking of how old a dog is, one makes us of the term "dog years." Dog years are shorter than actual ("human") years, because dogs have shorter lives than humans, and the whole point of the concept is to equalize the number given for two individuals at the same point in their respective life cycles. So, a dog that is five years old may be called 40 in dog years. The dog year number is bigger, get it? The same basic principle applies when applied to other species, with people speaking of cat years or parrot years or whatever else.
>>
>>155611130
Let's compromise and make an average.
>>
>>155611130
I was polite about it but the other anon is right, you're retarded. The person speaking is a yinglet. To yinglets, one year is the time it takes the planet to orbit the sun once. She translates however many of these yinglet years Narklet has lived into the equivalent in "human years" by adjusting the number to reflect the different rate at which humans mature in order to provide context for the former human. Humans age more slowly, so while Narklet might be three in sidereal or yinglet years, he's fifteen in human years. Savvy?
>>
>>155609047
>Narklet is just some uppity teenager
This just feels like a setup to a situation where Kass is going to have to seduce him with her older woman charm.
>>
>>155610180
Vizlet isn't entirely conversant with human ages, she thinks Kass is younger than she. Narklet is whatever the bare minimum age of majority is for yinglets, since he's of age to be a patriarch.
>>
>>155612763
Narklet is not a normal patriarch, he's there by appointment.
>>
>>155612763
Kass IS younger than she is biologically now. She's aware he's older than her chronologically.
>>
>>155612906

>>155612861
Beizel specifically says he's of age when one of others calls him a kid.

>>155612906
Vizlet thinks he's almost as old as she is, but she's probably no older than her late teens. She has longer adult experience, quite possibly, but that's not how she phrases it.
>>
>>155612979
Going off >>155610180 I think the age range is something like
>Narklet =2-3
>Kass = 4-5

I hope Val does a hard cut back to ivenmoth so we can see what Elim and Lopin are getting up to and also piss off lorefags who want answers.

I miss the fancy rat boy so much.
>>
>>155613784

>>
>>155613984
She has up until this point done nothing but abuse Kass over his condition for fun. And I guess maybe saved lopins life? But in a not very nice way that hurt his fragile little feelings.

Just cutting the bullshit and telling him what he needs to know outright and unconditionally is actually the first genuinely nice thing we've seen her do if you ask me.
>>
>>155614078
None of that is remotely true. You know Vizlet's the short white furry one not the blond with glasses, right?
>>
>>155614180
She is the only other character on this page, yes. I know what she's done. None of it was nice or selfless. It's always strategic shenanigans or plain cruel. Now she's putting her neck on the line for him.
>>
>>155614248
Vizlet has more than once offered aid and comfort to Kass, and has never abused him for fun. She's something of a chauvinist and she tends to think she knows best, because she's not used to other yinglets being her intellectual equals. She wants to make use of him in her political intrigues and has been honest about that from the start, while promising to wash his back in the future. This is fully in character for her. Your read is just entirely off base. You want altruism, is that it?

Vizlet has been very accommodating given the circumstances. Most of her apparent nonchalance towards kassens wellbeing is more due to her uncertainty in how to handle such a bizzare situation than apathy or malice.
>>
>>155614608
They're also not actually friends. It's easy to forget because the comic's pace is so slow but they've only known each other a short time, she's a politician walking a fine line and he's an agent of Ivenmoth set to report back on the doings of the enclave.

>>155614503
Strategic shenanigans is what her station demands of her. Having fun with his insecurities is natural for a species that never quite grows up, and partly motivated by her initial disbelief. I am not blaming her for being who she is, but that is not a nice person to be. So far all of her actions have been motivated by her own ambitions, even her "comfort" was just to try and validate her own biases about how females should behave, and Kass was right to reject it. This is entirely unlike any of that. Kass does not need to know the truth to be useful to her plans. He does not need to know for her to dote on him emotionally. In fact its by far best for her if he does not. This is altruism. The first we've seen from her.
>>
>>155614597
Now read the next page. That is just a performance to try and get him to behave according to her expectations. I am not saying she doesn't care about his trauma, she clearly does. but she also is not making any effort to understand it. She is doing what the yinglet matriarch script tells is is what she should do in that situation, and she selfishly expects Kass to conform.
>>
>>155614597
can yinglet girls fit a real human one or it's uuuh genital sack sex only?

This one? Or the next one, or the one after that? So you have a wrong take and you're sticking with it, whatever. Funnily enough what we're seeing in today's comic isn't pure altruism either, she happens to owe Kass a favour.

>>155614858
Yeah. On the other hand she was discussing it with Viracroix before she even met Kass.
>>
Yinglets are fun to draw but I'm not very good at it.
>>
I had s thought. What if Vizlet put him on the breeding schedule with Beizel, Kattajak and whoever else is trustworthy and in the know. But instead of having sex they use the time to plan stuff in secret. Then when Kass fails to produce eggs they can just declare him infertile so he never has to deal with that bs again plus narklets fears of uncontrolled reproduction will be completely nulled.
>>
>>155609047
Okay so the elders are 100% keeping themselves immortal by using the Yinglet Converters to convert themselves into younger Standard Pattern Yinglets.
>>
>>155615403
With the importance their society puts on breeding. I don't think they'd ever accept he was infertile unless he'd tried it with every patriarch, just to be sure. And as an infertile female he'd lose status for sure. "Run a train on him and then throw the bum out" is not a strategy I think Kass will endorse.
>>
>>155615190
Maybe I understated my point:

Even if she agreed that its real, and understood that some artifacts could in theory pull off shit like this, it's going to be extremely hard to shake off the intuitive disbelief that something as impossible as a human mind existing in a yinglet head is happening right in front of her.

Dude saying the sky is yellow when you look up and can clearly its blue.

The thing about Narklet, is that, by the principles of his culture, as a patriarch that he IS owned some sex. Female don't need to be all flirty with him, they just need to be told by their matriarch that it's bonking time and he'll get some tail-action.

Flirting might be a completely alien notion to him.

(I wasn't actually banned)
Just wanted to know if the reaction in one of the previous thread was just a vocal minority of (apparently) 4 people, or if this actually reflect the majority desire. JUST TO BE CLEAR, I have no problem with stopping doing that, but also, I don't want to stop something most actually appreciated because of the complain of a few ones.

I am only asking because it was the first ever negative reaction and every other threads when discussions wander toward other TF comic had posters who actually liked doing so, including commenting on the story of Gone Feral.

Why this sudden shift? I was told that no one liked it and just didn't engage it, but when I pointed out this was incorrect, that posters engaged with it and even liked it, all I ever get was insults without any actual justification about why it was wrong to do so now.

All I can assume is that those who got angry only joined those threads recently and didn't knew about it. But if I am wrong and most here don't want to talk about other TF comics AFTER the conversation about OOPS has been exhausted, please confirm.

But if that's the case, why only speak out now and never even once react negatively in any previous thread where it took places? I think it's the sudden shift that really baffle me.

That's not the basis of my post, though. You don't need to remember any anon to see a post you don't like that is actually asking you if you don't like for you to be able to say, no, I don't like it. There is no hive-mind required for that.

>I’m saying the logical answer is that older posters didn’t care
I would take you as more sincere if you didn't keep denying that some actually cared instead of keeping pretending everyone was ignoring it.
>while newer posters didn’t like it
So you are saying most of this reaction is due to posters who joined recently and didn't even knew it was a thing to begin with?

>and the kind of personalities that do care enough to dredge up old shit
I actually looked back previous thread to see if those who said no one ever liked it were actually right and I had never picked on it, to see if I had effectively missed cues I should have picked up.

No matter what, you have to at least admit that when you say "I am going to start do something, if you do'nt want to just tell me", only get positive returns when keeping doing it but then suddenly have just one thread of "we have always hated it" be quite a left-turn that sound coming from a fringe group.

I’m saying either post the furry strips or don’t. If you wanted to talk about them that badly, you’d just make your own threads to talk about them if this space told you to gtfo. Taking up time to talk about the reaction instead of the comics themselves makes it more about you and your wounded ego than about the furry strips you supposedly wanted to talk about alongside Out of Placers. Either way, it’s not that big a deal as you’re making it out to be. Either get on topic, post the comics, or make another thread. That simple.

The whole point was to know if most wanted me to stop or if it was just a few. My own ego was never something that mattered to begin with.

>Taking up time to talk about the reaction instead of the comics themselves
I am not going to keep posting this comic in those threads if most do'nt want me to, actually. And that was what I was trying to figure out.

As a matter of fact, the complete absence of people telling me they are actually fine with me posting it once the OOOPs conversation as died out actually is the best argument for me to stop. So I won't anymore. At least that part is cleared out.

But seriously, we wouldn't even have half of the shitposts we got if some weren't so disingenuous about this whole deal.

Honest question:

When you see someone regularly posts a kind of stuffs that only receive positive feedbacks, in what kind of reality do you live to conclude this kind of posting will cease by just ignoring it?

Like, do you actually realise the incongruity of making that reasoning in the first place? I men, I would understand you thinking that if it received no reply at all, but that was never the case here.
>>
>>155631238
Dear god you are faggot. I didnt get to post in time but please go make your own thread if you want talk about a separate comic. The comic that gets posted here besides OOPs is the fan comic, mostly gets posted on trash, and takes place in the same universe as OOPs. Although obviously you are just being disingenuous and trolling.

You're weird, I think its important you know this.

That aside in this context its important to know because Kass is trying to get an idea of how old Narklet is in terms of how him and we would understand as in what Narklet's age would be in terms of human years and thus human equivalent years.

e621 is for NFSW dude. Everyone uploading their glupshitto art on there is cringe, no two ways about it. OOP barely approaches content that belongs on there with its TF origin, but it just doesn't belong on there. Not out here cruising to get it removed, just my opinion

E621 is a general booru site for furry art. There are no rules or stigma against SFW content nor have there ever been. Uploading comics like OOPS is especially encouraged since it's an easily accessible backup site and because it can offer a better viewing experience for collected works compared to sites like Twitter or DA.
>>
>>155638807
Brother, I love OOP... But it IS pretty darn fetishistic and borderline NSFW with a lot of implied (and not-so-implied) fucking and smutt. The reason why there is a page dedicated to explaining how mating works for the little rat people in great detail is NOT funny lore. It's clearly a turn-on.

Nothing wrong with it, but don't try to "uncringe" it because you are unable to cope with the facts. The author isn't even trying to hide it. And you're not alone, this applies to everyone else who made similar claims, saying this isn't a TF fetish comic. It very much is and it's ALSO something more. It belongs to e621 too, and having it on there can't be bad. Embrace it and stop pretending.
>>
>>155636938
if we're talking blending games with Yinglets that "Family Time" game that's in development would be a prime candidate for getting a Yinglet reskin;

This. I hate how much retardation is in this reply chain. It isn't that complicated. The concept is based on what is considered normal to the speaker. Years are the same objective length for everyone. The concept of [species] years is to help grasp the subjective perception of time. I don't know how to phrase the conservation in a way that it conveys the same information while without disrupting the flow.

It actually mostly is
Val probably knows there's people out there into it and is happy to throw them a bone, but unless he's both lying about his specific tastes and intentionally misleading viewers with what he chooses to draw outside of OoPs that's not really what gets him off. He doesn't really find the yinglets hot, he does find the mental and identity side of it arousing but when he's drawing stuff specifically because he finds it hot it's not Ran describing the stupid little ratbirds's dicks to schoolchildren using melons, it's stuff like this.

I hope he doesn't just wear. He said the new hat was the nicest thing he ever received... so he didnt get his original hat from anywhere? Or any of his clothes? He must be a pretty good tailor by yinglet standards if he made it all himself. He should totally apprentice with the ivenmoth seamstresses. He could probably be the best yinglet tailor in the world with the proper guidance

Nope, what you just said is dumb. In the TF fetish genre, there is a subset fetish called "aftermath" which focuses on the struggles (mental and physical) following the mutation, rather than the mutation itself. Guess what this entire comic is about? And it's not just the subject matter; the way he writes and focuses on certain aspects and details makes it very obvious he's into it. This is a fact, not a wild guess.

>>155640683
Artists lie all the time. They are performers; their entire career is based on what people think of them and their art, and the existence of anons in this thread who struggle to accept the obvious, harmless NSFW implications in his work gives him a very good reason to omit and dodge.

That aside, let's say that what you're claiming is true: he doesn't find yinglets attractive; he's just throwing a bone. In doing so, he is, effectively, making this, at least in part, a fetish comic. Not for himself, maybe, but how does that make it any different? And people struggle, for some reason (maybe they feel guilty every time they read adult content by themselves, I don't know), to reconcile the idea with the fact that they like it. This isn't something I'm seeing happening in the OOP community alone either; it's kind of everywhere.

My point is, by the way: even if it was a fetish comic that rightfully belongs to e621... Who gives a shit? Do you like it? Do YOU think it's more than that? GOOD. Admit the fact and keep enjoying it. Your shame is more cringe than his entire body of work will ever be.

I really don't understand this aversion to adult themes. The internet used to be a gold mine of weird, edgy webcomics that you simply wouldn't be able to find anywhere near a comic store shelf, with absurd characters, open violence, sex, and all those other things a corporation wouldn't dare touch with a ten-foot pole. To deny that comics like OOP have at least a hint of that sort of stuff is to deny one of its biggest strengths.

This is what I beleive to be the case. To be clear, I am an other anon and I agree with you.
>>
There is obviously a fetishistic element to the transformation, but you have to be dumb to call it a fetish comic, the world building, depth of character, and plotting elevate it way past that, that's why it's popular.
>but it's someone's festish
Anything is someone's fetish, fucking tileanon exists.
>>
>>155643718
I honestly think the writer has a transformation fetish but I can overlook it for the outstanding writing quality.
Also it's taking a more realistic look at the concept and isn't just an excuse to fap
