They've got it all, for good or ill. Trying to pass of werewolves as some kind of rival faction to them is utterly absurd for a number of reasons but the big one is they're a much narrower and weaker concept with much less to their name. It's not that they can't be cool/scary/sexy too, they just punch in an objectively lighter weight class by orders of magnitude. 2024's Orlok was my favorite vampire in a long time.

I still think Paranorman's underrated but so is Kubo. Boxtrolls & Missing Link are okay but they're really missing something. Relatability? Being maybe too comedic in comparison? I really hope Wildwood is good even if the character designs with the faces look off.

Massive amount of content and possible encounters, a funny mad libs comic mechanic, and all three of the featured girls are 10/10 waifus. Of course Zoe is my favorite but April is cute and Omen is absolutely second best girl in the entire series, she gives no fucks and she is loud and violent and it is hot. Not as fond of the other three characters but the writing usually makes interacting with them fun.

I found out yesterday there are novel sequels to Nightmare Before Christmas and I only found out because I started reading NBC fanfics and the author of one was bitching about the first book.I'm sure no one here has nayone love them but I've been reading the first and I actually dig it. I'm a sucker for the female perspective and descriptions of love and always find it more interesting and romantic than male perspectives. The male perspective, author or character , always seems to be a gussied up version of Winston's (1984) initial hatred for his eventual love interest.

Its a bit past it but I'm glad people enjoyed Igor way more than I expected, it's a neat flick so seeing it appreciated here was nice. Though watching it back to back with a perfect film like Monsters Inc. made me wonder what aspects of Igor could've been tweaked to make it stand out more and be a stronger film. Maybe it would've worked better as a serialized show?
