Been a while since we had a Genie thread(i checked)
I fucking love genies bros.
I don't have all of the images of this character in one place, but if you're looking for more I can at least tell you it's out there.
>>11522233Damn RightIm working on a Genie Graphic Novel, hoping to get it done for this time next year.
If you got three wishes from a Genie and you used them to wish for the Genie themselves to have forgiveness for being trapped in the lamp, happiness so that they can know joy in there lives once more, and freedom so that they can live however they want to. What do you all think would happen after the master of the lamp made those three wishes and do you think the Genie would even want to grant those wishes in the first place?
>>11522394Depending on how it's written the genie may or may not be obligated to fulfill the wishes, and similarly how they'd feel about having to deal with those wishes would be context dependent. I think the real questions would be things like whether, say, the first wish for example is merited- genies may be trapped in lamps having originally been free, or they may just originate with a lamp to begin with depending on what you care to do. I do think however that most genies would be happy at least to grant the other two, both because they are selfless wishes and because they directly aid the genie themselves.
An old classic

>>11522414Like in my mind at least wishing for there forgiveness and happiness is in the hopes that that will defuse any sociopathy or revenge they may feel for humanity if it was a human sorcerer that was the one that sealed them in the lamp in the first place. And wishing for there freedom last is both for the sake of justice and to see if the first two wishes worked or if i have to use the last wish to seal the lamp away forever so that an insane godlike monster is never released from its prison and brings about a thousand years of darkness to the world.
>>11522443>wishing for there forgivenessHope you use one of your wishes to learn how to spell.
You just want to use her to get free wishes. You don't really love your genie waifu
>>11522443Aah, that's thoughtful. Personally I think it'd be better to try and talk with and scope out a genie first before making such a wish. I think a strong element of genies is their tremendous power, but also their capacity for mortal folly. If a genie seems bad, maybe it'd be more meaningful to ask or figure out what made them the way they are, and then to attempt to make them a better person the old fashioned way, rather than making a wish which could fast-track that sort of personal development.>>11522692No, I want my genie wife, in her infinite beauty and grace, to be free to do whatever she likes, and for the world and me to be subject to her whims.
>>11522264IT SHOULD OF BEEN ME, NOT HER, IT'S NOT FAIR!>>11522692I mean would a genie want to be with someone who has a shitty life?
>>11522723Godspeed anon.
