Orange and white?
>>2791048
>>2791048Red lights so you can double as a "lady" of the night.
>>2791048it dont matter, dont fall for the "blue light is le bad" meme.
>>2791048Warm light is better.
only light your house with fire at night
>>2791048>kitchen, Laundry room, bathrooms, utility rooms, basementWhite>Any other living space + exteriorWarm white
>>2791048warm light (2700-3000k) for cozy housecool light (=/< 4000k) for sterile modern garbage
>>2791048For my bedroom I have an overhead light that is at about 4000K and a desk lamp that is about 2700K.I really like that dual light color setup and it works well in other rooms like: kitchens, living rooms, bathrooms.>>2791121That's a good rule of thumb: work spaces get bright or cool white light, relaxing spaces get warm white light.
>>2791048Smart bulbs are nice. You can have them set to cooler temp during the day and warm in the evening/night.
>>2791346>That's a good rule of thumb: work spaces get bright or cool white light, relaxing spaces get warm white light.yep. Warm white is comfy and easy on the eyes, but cool white is good for color, so it's useful in places like a laundry room to see clothes, workshops, garages, etc. Also if you use anything but the warmest of warm light outside you are satan. Horrible blue-white mercury lamps and awful floodlights are so bad looking.
>>2791346>>2791878My mom says that I should have bright white lights and orange lights are too weak and my eye prescriptions might get higher
>>2793397This is an old boomerism. Like saying reading a book with low lights will make your eyes blurrier.
>>2793744But desu isn't that simple logic that low light will make your eyes work harder?
bought one of these Chinese LED ring lights for $100. easy to install, fan is nearly silent but moves a lot of air and can adjust between warm and cool light.
>>2791878Objective assignments>>2793397>>2793744>>2794413No, like most things, what damages your eyes is transitions. Once your eyes adapt to darkness they can stay there fine. What hurts your vision is dark>bright>dark>bright. That wives tale got started because reading by candlelight did fuck up your vision, which people thought was becasue candlelight was dim, when it was actually because of the flickering.

>>2794548But I feel orange lights aren't bright enough as whites are. I have op pic rn and they seem more brighter. My mom forcefully changed them claiming my room was too dark but it was easy on my melatonin receptors
>>2794652They aren’t as bright. Your bedroom is for sleeping, not doing shit. Your mom sounds like a spaz.
>>2794886I do homework in my room
>>2795003Get a white desk lamp
>>2791048Always get one of each. White + orange is the most kino combination.>warm whites not welcome
