Hey anons--I hate be guilty of soapboxing or redditor-esque behavior, but I need to ask for help, and early in this general's lifetime seems to be the best place to be seen (cue the soapboxing). First: if you have anything of mine from past threads saved--PNG, with or without metadata, etc.--catbox it or otherwise link it. You may've noticed I, Elf-anon (one of my more flattering nicknames from the /hdg/ and then /edg/), was absent from at least the last thread. Over the weekend, I had a weather-related car accident (sole party involved, thankfully) that I was just reported did total my car. Fucking construction in an unexpected rain storm (on a route I've driven more than a hundred times otherwise); walked out of the wreck, someone saw me and called 911, family took me to immediate care the next day, no broken bones, etc. That's not that interesting. Unsurprisingly, not really in the mood to gen. I took the following weekday off work (absurd amount of sick time saved up) and, in a turnaround, got bored of lying on a heatpad and thought I'd go work on some drive cloning/backup management/etc., I'd been putting off for a while. And this is where I fucked up, in a very different way: whether my backpain-distracted mind or some other form of user error, I obliterated the partition on the portable SSD I'd been genning on for the better part of the last 2 years. Whoops. And to put the cherry on the user-idiocy error, I realized my offline backup option had completely failed. So, all my in-progress gens, models, metadata, etc., wiped out. Got basically nothing except some worthless, pre-NAI archived images from a data recovery guy I'd trust (I don't blame him, I think I just fucked up that badly and I'm not going to pay hundreds for some sort of tech forensics that probably won't work anyway). Not the first anon to have that happened to them, not the first one to be careless and fail to (successfully) backup.

On the other hand, periodic dramatics aside, I've enjoyed genning with you anons, bouncing experiments off one another, laughing at fap-fuel trends and genre gags, admiring cute mice and burgers, etc. No doubt the coping reflex in my brain is telling me this is "opportunity" to learn WebUI, Comfy, etc., even if I know I'm never going to spend as much time as I did a year ago, much less two, real life, wage-slavery, etc. So, that's what it is. I've got some barebones material to work from backed up online (maybe even a proper template), and maybe some sick time off between researching a replacement vehicle (and clocking in just to keep on schedule, just to avoid an even bigger headache down the line). As I said, if you have anything of mine, whether requests or just posting, saved, it'd be a big help in at least recomposing something resembling a template library. If you hate me, feel free to ignore this request, lol. Otherwise, is this goodbye (or good riddance)? Probably not. But I have come to enjoy this generals, and I'd miss the likes of Kitty-poster, Hinako-poster, and others. An stupidest of all, I'd miss the girls, whom I've grown fond of in this meantime. In the meantime, while I survey this colossal fuck-up of mine and comb through the wreckage: keep genning, and competently manage your backups.

Does anyone know working prompts for ninja finger signs/hand seals? I tried danbooru tags (kuji-in, ninja_hand_gesture and mudra) and their aliases, but nothing worked on Illustrious.

>>3001732You are absolutely correct. What I meant by "inpainting with controlnet" is drawing (or tracing as you suggested) hands myself and just giving that image to Controlnet and careful inpaint-job, just to make my shitty drawing fit the image better. I actually do this a lot.

>>3001743Honestly, it depends. I like to use modest denoise and use Lineart-controlnet to maintain the anatomy of the fingers. It is really not that different from normal inpaint, just that using controlnet allows higher denoising.If however the manual redraw is good quality and low denoising is sufficient then controlnet is not necessary at all.
