This shit is such middle class loser shit. These welted nonce boots are dog shit. I used to work at a high end mens boutique and these kind were in there and as I've got very large feet items they didn't sell in my size I'd get like 75% off to clear stock. They fall apart like crazy. My 80 bucks Dr martens Chinese boots meanwhile lasted me 14 years so far.I get fashion as a concept but most of it seems to be tricking middle class retards into buying overpriced crap. Real rich people wouldn't be seen dead in any of this shit.My wife worked at a major fashion house in Milan and genuinely rich people were buying custom no logo white t-shirts to spec for 4k for a single. I get spending 8k for some bespoke shoes from England that get resolved and you get your own last and future stuff at around 2k to your own last. But this kinda shit is the dumbest shit. It sucks and it's relatively expensive compared to what you guys earn When I became rich I bought 3 bespoke shoes. One bespoke boot one bespoke set of loafers. 4 spec suits, bunch of imported Italian jeans and shirts and ts all tailored and nice silk boxers and Egyptian cotton socks. 2 overcoats, 3 jackets, a few casual CP rain coats and all in it cost about 50k. But I'm basically set forever with 2k a year in replacements on new orders. I know some middle class people spending as much over a decade to rock this kinda absolute trash.

Is going 1/2 down from brannock a meme for iron rangers? How did you size for them?
>>18090063I have a pair of Blacksmiths which are built on the same last. Half size down from Brannock was perfect for me.
>>18090067Would tts work too? Or would it have been too big for you?
>>18090063I went down half a size
>>18090063European, so no brannock device here. I wear a 10US in nike, new balance, adidas, puma and vans, with nike and new balance being a perfect fit. I went with a US9.5D on Iron Rangers but always felt the the fit was a bit looser than what I wanted and there wast just too much room at the front of the toes than how I like footwear to fit. I put a thin leather insole inside the boots and that solved it to a degree but I was never satisfied with the fit. I ended up trading them for another pair on US9D. The fit is a bit more snug and the ammount of room in front of the toe is just right.Bear in mind that I like boots to fit somewhat snug, but not tight and I wear medium thickness socks. So half a size from your best fitting sneakers is a safe choice and a full size down could work but ymmv.Assuming you're a D in width, and don't need an E or something, that is.
>>18090100I wear nike and adidas 1/2 size larger than my brannock. So it sounds like you went tts and didn’t like the fit. And 1/2 down was better.
>>18090100I wear 10.5- 11US and have a pair of size 12 new balances sneaker sizing is a meme
>>18090227It is, but my experience is that nike and nb are very consistent in sizing across models, to the point tgat I don't even have to try them on to know exactly how they'll fit. That's why I used my sneaker size for comparision.
>>18090094TTS would be too big. Half size down is literally perfect for me.

>>18091088It's hard to say. I've seen people say go a full size down from Brannock and others say go a half size. For me both were right and I think it really depends on the leather. I have a pair on the 2030 that are a full size down and fit me perfectly, but a pair on the same last in a different leather was too small and I had to go a half size down instead.
>>18091083I’m a US 10d (9.5 in boots) and I got viberg 2030 in size 9. I thought they were too big at first but after a few months of wear and the weather warming sometimes they feel a little tight. 9.5 probably would have been too large.
Had I not got the java waxed I would have strongly considered these. No cap toe, all eyelets and a sleeker sole. But I don't think I'll get another truman ever.>I told myself no more boots
*sigh*$314 for some Myrqvist TjarnoFedex international shipping was free at least, these fuckers better fit.

Do you guys have any general shoewear recommendations for brands? i barely know any brands at all besides for like adidas or whatever other popular shitlink related: https://www.vinted.es/catalog?catalog[]=1231&size_ids[]=781&size_ids[]=782&material_ids[]=43&material_ids[]=298&material_ids[]=44&material_ids[]=448&material_ids[]=451i want some comfy, low boots that look nice and are decent enough to walk my dog in teh woods, i got jump boots and trekking boots for actual bad weather already anyway so this purchase would largely be based on looks but i do want something kinda decent and some basic rainproof cappabilities

>>18091985From those filtering by boot there's not a lot to pick from. The standouts look to be these chukkas https://www.vinted.es/items/4096573223-polacchi-berwick?referrer=catalog, they look barely worn. If you've never had leather boots or leather shoes in general bear in mind sizing is a lot less forgiving than sneakers, and they need more care.
Excuse me if the question is retarded but how much space should I have in the toebox? Is it normal if my new shoes have little more than 1 whole centimeter of empty space between my toe and the front of the boot?
Got the Steinkogler retro model. Steinkoglers make the good memeboots and mountaineering boots. They don't seem to do any marketing online and you can't order from them directly.€250 for stormwelted shoes made in Austria. Pretty good deal, if you're in western Europe and willing to order through small German and Austrian companies. This does mean you need to speak some German, I'm afraid. Had to wait 6 weeks before they were delivered. Pretty happy. They work for a millenial aging hipster.
>>18091985There's plenty of Red Wings on vinted, mostly ranging 160-200 and many worn once or twice
>>18092453Personal preference. I like just enough room so my toes clear the foretoe, so about 1cm to a cm and a half.>>18092454Hard to tell from that blurry pic but they look pretty nice
>>18092459Thank you. I will try wearing them, is just all my other shoes off the same size have only a few millimetres of empty space in the front so this new pair surprised me.
>>18092386>sizing is a lot less forgiving than sneakers, and they need more care.doesnt seem very complicated, I have horse fat for shoes at home, and what do you mean by sizing being less forgiving? Ive measured my foot length and im apparently 40,5 but leaning closer to 41. I've always used EUR 41 size since 40,5 is never available at retail
>>18092513That tabla de equivalencias is absolute bullshit. My feet meassure 275mm which should put me at a solid 42EUR and I've never been able to wear that size.I wear 44EUR/10US on sneakers and 9-9.5US on boots. And I like my shoes to have just enough room in front of my toes so they don't bump nor touch it.
Has/will anyone itt buy Aldens this year? Or are you all sick of the shittiness for the money?

>>18092837you'd think so but I think Dale got it right. I have a nicks kiltie and it slips to the side after a full day. not enough to expose the edge but enough that it bothers me. this shape eliminates this problem and beefs up around the shaft and can really help with fit on grant stones if you have skinny anklesthe tpr has such rich, deep color. has a touch of the typical horsebutt scally patern toohands down if you're getting kilties get them from Dale. the only caveat is I think he buffs the reverse side so instead of it being roughout its more of a nubuck. not an issue at all but it's not really reversibleI'll stop shilling now

Got my first pair of boots, 875's, a couple of days ago. Love 'em but I have a couple concerns. After wearing them indoors for a 2 days my left insole and ankle (towards the body) still hurt a bit when I walk with them. No lasting marks. Right boot feels fine. Does it sound like these are good to take outside?I don't want to blow the return policy without being sure
Just copped these. I posted a couple threads ago thinking about the oak street camp mocs but I just found these. Someone here recommended some rancourt loafers but those weren’t close enough to what I was looking for. $193 after the first time coupon code.

>>18092832>>18092891I was thinking of getting one of his half-insoles for arch support. How's the quality of his stuff?
>>18093032is that sum kudu?
>>18093091it's probably the only full veg tan insole on the market without some form of cork/foam backingno idea how they fit in the boot or how to size them correctly, so you may have to email himthe half insoles could slide around inside your boot though and you may need to glue them downalso you won't really get arch support with a flat piece of leather so you'd have to glue an additional lens-shaped piece of leather under the insole
>>18093122I also bought one of these from Nigs, and that little strip of extra leather on the inner side seems to help a lot with arch support.
>>18093129i would try, but this looks like it takes a lot of space up on boots that are not designed for an additional insole or are too big.
>>18093130That's a valid concern, and it definitely wouldn't have fit if the boots were already snug. But I HATE snug boots, so I always get extra wide shoes. It ended up working out this time.
>>18093052I tightened up the laces and the insole pain went away. Had too much heel slipNow I just have the ankle pain, but that isn't anywhere near as bad as the insole was. It'll probably go away with time
>>18093089They’re comfortable. For future AMs I’d go up to F width in the forefoot only but these are fine with thin no cushion wool socks.>>18093105It is. One of the main reasons I got it since Gazianio & Girling is no longer offering kudu.

>>18093250Their vintage boxcalf has a really fine pore structure. It was ridiculously easy to sign with Saphir Mirror Gloss. Pic related is before.
>>18093248Yeah, it presses against the side when I'm moving. Looking into it, apparently it's the tongue gusset. It lines up with where the issue is, and it sounds like it goes away in time

>>18093390>the wrong type of pull loop>those wrinkles from overtension>that super high SPI but wonky as fucknice pattern tho
>>18093390Far from perfect, but honestly I'm impressed that someone would decide in this day and age to learn to make artisanal boots on their own. And the results are really good for a first pair of boots. Are you getting training from someone or are you completely self-taught? Was if difficult to get the tools and naterials to make them? How was the process?
>>18093469Sorry I didn't see there was a boot general.
>>18093472This would go great with my trench coat and fedora. And my fingerless gloves. I saw some guy wearing it. I insulted him to his face. That was risky, I think he was rich in hell. >>18093822Not any shoes or boots, but im waiting for a couple of different insoles and creams from skolyx. Looking for a good insole/half insole to fix the fit on 2 of my boots. Been considering another bonafe MTO soonish though. Something flexible and unlined for summer maybe.

>So these were originally ordered in 2020 and delivered in April. They had a lowered standard heel. Over time with the arch collapse and wear, the balance of the boot became "off." It felt like all my body's weight was sitting on my heels rather than distributed through the foot and on the arch. They made my lower back hurt. >>18093822also before i forget, don't buy any enzo bonafe chelsea or jodhpur boots for a while. enzo never bothered to train anyone on how to work their work their weird and antiquated machine they used for those styles. the ones being made now end up with really bad creasing and wrinkles. the person using it now is basically learning from scratch with lots of trial and error.
