It's easy, youll want a tool like this to help. Can be a little annoying, i wish more traditional watches started using the toolless ones that a lot of smart watches have but oh well. Sometimes the factory bracelet can be a bit harder to remove than a band but any jewelry / watch place would probably do it for you.
>>
>>18111180
Interesting thanks. Yeah I could take it to a place. Or maybe I'll watch some YouTube videos to see how hard it is.
>>
>>18111181
Its not hard, its just a little finicky and somewhat depends on the band/strap. Those spring bar tools are $5 or less so it's worth giving it a try, it's nice to be able to swap bands around as it can make a watch feel new.
>>
>>18111175
Everything about your post is wrong.
>>
Corrected my armani watch this morning and it is 1 second off again.. fuck
>>
>>18111183
Yeah maybe I should try it, I just watched a video, it looks like it's not too hard.

Mainly I think I just prefer the simplicity of a leather or resin strap because you can adjust the fit of the strap so easily, with all the notches. Unlike metal straps which are more of a pain to adjust.

>prefer the simplicity of a leather or resin strap because you can adjust the fit of the strap so easily
I actually find this the opposite. Usually leather bands dont have a hole that fits right. It's either looser than id like or too tight so i just have to go a bit loose. With metal bands you can get them more dialed in (depending on the band). But these days i pretty much avoid bracelets that dont have on the fly quick adjust like pic related. Of course finding another bracelet that looks right with the watch can be pretty hard. There are some bands like mesh ones that dont have holes and let you just slide it to any sizing.

>Are you stupid? Steroids arent the same as testosterone

Oh really

https://www.dea.gov/factsheets/steroids

What are Steroids?

Anabolic steroids are synthetically produced variants of the naturally occurring male hormone testosterone that are abused in an attempt to promote muscle growth, enhance athletic or other physical performance, and improve physical appearance.

Testosterone, trenbolone, oxymetholone, methandrostenolone, nandrolone, stanozolol, boldenone, and oxandrolone are some of the anabolic steroids that are most commonly encountered by United States law enforcement.

has anyone here dealt with their preferred watch service shop owner dying?

the guy who would do a full cleaning in the machine, oiling, and getting it back within 5s/day for under $200 is now dead as of last week.

what the fuck do i do now? i have a handful of 50-60 year old watches i wanted to get overhauled and now my one source is dead. there's only one other guy locally who seems to do the same kind of service that isn't a fancy jewelry store, and he proudly "accepts crypto" so i presume he's gonna charge a lot or be a massive sperg.

i just want my dead boomer back bros...

Tossing up between an IWC Pilots Chronograph and a Panerai Luminor Marina.
Can't decide. Both cost about the same second hand.
Ones a chrono, which i don't have, and is potentially more daily wear friendly.
On the other hand, nothing imitates a panerai.

With a round watch, do you prefer a strap with flat ends (left) or with rounded ends so that there are no gaps inside the lugs (right)?

Also with a rounded one, maybe it will only fit right if the watch body is the right size? Because a bigger watch body would have a more shallow curve I guess?
>>
>>18111892
usually you only get the flush band with a bracelet, but that is the better look
>>
How suspicious is a relatively recent Rolex (not quite pic related but similar) without papers? It's on Chrono so I assume I can get a refund if an AD pops off the back and says it's phony, but I'm just wondering why this would be? Is it normal for grey Rolexes that went out a back door somewhere?
>>
>>18111903
I found pic related with curved ends and the seller says they accept returns if it doesn't fit. But you have to pay return postage.

Maybe I should just go with flat ends. Less hassle. It might look slightly worse but I just want something that works.

wouldn't even try these if they're not made for that specific case model
at best it will look worse than your original post examples, at worst it just won't have a chance of fitting inside
everyone prefers the strap or bracelet to comform to the watch case, but you only get those on genuine products, as accessories for that exact watch
only some of the most popular cases in the world have the luxury of aftermarket fitting straps or bracelets, like the SKX

2 is most visible while looking "grown up" and still having a subtle pop of color. 3 is a little more 'fun' with the white body and blue face, and would be at home on the beach or grilling in the back yard. 4 for the adult analog face, fun white body for 3's surf n turf summer festiveness, but loses placement because blue on blue just isnt' contrasted well. Unless you're trying to make the watch lay against the wrist in a very particular way there's no real benefit to using male endlinks. The only real downside to using female endlinks is it's a little more expensive because it means machining more and often means making more specialized bracelet components.
