Never understood the calisthenics only fags. I love chins and push ups but why limit yourself?

I was a calisthenicsfag for years, but finally I graduated to dumbbells + calisthenics. Just buy a pair of heavy adjustable dumbbells (some up to 80 lb) and you're set for life.
There's literally no reason to neglect weight training. I still don't think a barbell and lifting hundreds upon hundreds of pounds is necessary for the majority of people, unless you want to become a powerlifter.
For general fitness and aesthetics dumbbells + calisthenics is everything you need.

This is the case with calisthenics weaklings in general, they stay small and skinny. Calisthenics works fine if you actually maintain a proper bodyweight. The problem is when they prioritize doing the movement over getting strong so they seek to decrease resistance by decreasing bodyweight which only keeps them weak. The chad move is to bulk while doing lifting AND calisthenics.

It helps more on movments where you're using all your weight. But they're easy to max out on and you just wind up chasing rep totals. I use mine primarily when cutting because losing intensity on movments is tantamount to losing muscle and every lb you lose is lost intensity. Getting a dip belt is usually the better option because you can also throw that weight on a bar and is lot less annoying to adjust than a vest with a much higher limit on loading. Even things like bss with a vest feel less intuitive than with a bar. The only movment where vests are kind of the only way to do it weighted are handstand pushups which you don't need at all if you have even a little weight and a bar you can do ohp which has a much deeper ROM and what little weights you have will go a lot farther with it.

Calibros, I need some help. I don't know why is it but I can't seem to do bodyrows properly without pinching my shoulder. Several workouts already and every time I get to the rows I end up with shoulder pain. I don't have problems with any other exercise, typically I do pull ups/dips circuit and then I do rows/push ups. Also, since I don't have access to lower bars, I do them on the parallel bars, meaning the load is probably barely 40% of my bodyweight.

yeah the plan in not to think too hard and do roughly this, in less that 30 min every morning

workout A :

- 3 sets horizontal push (push ups or dips)
- 3 sets horizontal pull (dip bar row or kb row)
- 3 sets hinge (kb swing)

workout B

-3 sets vertical push (kb press or pike push up)
-3 sets vertical pull (chinup/pullup)
-3 sets squat (KB front squat, high rep bodyweight, lunges, etc etc)

Optionally I will end the workouts with planking (proper form), ab wheel, fun isolation exercises like curls or preventive exercises like kb shoulder halo or band face pulls

6 times a week ABABAB so fullbody almost every day, but no set pushed to failure.

It doesn't matter if it is not optimal, at this point I just want to build a strong consistent habit.
