What smartwatches do you all wear? And what's the best one for Android? Especially for features and workout tracking?

Ignore tryhards. Smartwatches are good to get an estimate about your advances. The most useful feature fitness wise is the pulsometer, specially if you train cardio. All the other features are nice extras and an extension of your phone, which is nice for example, to have an LTE watch to leave your phone at home and go running or whatever you do, you can pair your earphones to your watch and listen to music without the phone. Ive had a lot of smartbands and a few watches and i ended up only wanting samsung ones. I currently have a galaxy watch 4 classic LTE and i ordered the galaxy watch 6 classic LTE, i ordered the 6 because of the few new features and the 4 starting to have his battery fucked after 3 years of use, but one is black and the other is steel colored, so i will swap their straps and change them to match my clothing because i became interested in /fa/. Also, forget about the 6 gorillion exercises in each watch, what really matters is running, walking and maybe cycling, the rest of the exercises just track your heart rate and nothing else. If you are a third worlder like me and you use whatsapp, get one with Wear OS, so you can install it on it, but only if you get a LTE version (in my opinion, a watch with just BT is useless)

depends on what you do. For lifting all watches are pretty pointless and are only used to track heartrate. I've tried programming lifting routines on both apple watch and garmin and you'll spend more time fucking around with the watch than actually lifting, and they don't provide much data.

If you're a cardio athlete then go for a Garmin. They have a ton of watches at different price points depending on what features you want. They work great on Android too. I do a lot of running, gravel cycling, hiking/outdoors, and mountain biking and I use a Garmin Fenix 7 + a heartrate monitor.
>>
>>74102415
>best one for Android?
I got Google Pixel 2 watch for free and pair it with my Samsung phone.

from my understanding everything tracking related was carried over from their fitbit acquisition so it's pretty solid in that respect.
>>
>>74102415
If you run perhaps look at a garmin forerunner. You do not need a smart watch for lifting.

I still wear normal watches because I haven't found a use case for smart watches yet, but I'm not at all opposed to them. When a watch comes out that is actually useful for lifting in the way that my phone or a journal is I'll be all over it, but right now it's just too clunky, see >>74107642

I’ve owned Fitbit and Samsung ones and the latter gives something to be desired. Nowadays I’m carrying a Garmin Sapphire 7 (solar). Hands down the best watch I’ve ever used.
My wife uses Apple and she’s happy with it but I don’t think she really uses more than 30% of its entire capabilities.
>>
>>74102415
I just use a Xiaomi smart band 7. It tracks sleep and heart rate during cardio, and also does gps tracking for outdoor runs. I also use the gym workout tracker because it has a timer which makes timing ,y rests between sets easier.
The rest of its functions are useless jank IMO. I wanted to try a Garmin but it costs 10x and has less features so why waste money?

If you have to pick a smartwatch for any kind of health tracking it should be a Garmin, and only used for cardio (and maybe sleep tracking). It's a nice toy if you aren't a poorfag, but unless you are genuinely a top-tier athlete you won't see any meaningful performance improvement from the data it gathers. Fun things are fun, etc.
Fitbit used to be solid but has fallen off over the past decade. Apple Watch has never had feature parity with Garmin (although you could theoretically get close by downloading third-party apps).
>>
>>74103082
This. Have a fit bit but mostly this.
>>
>>74107032
Amazing how these faggots say things like "stay broke". Look at 99% of them and they have less than $200 or mooch off their parents. Funny definition of "doing well" desu.
>>
>>74109249
You made a good choice getting the solar. I bought the non solar, its the most disfunctional piece of garbage "smart watch" I've ever owned. I'll play around with it in the weekend if I cant configure it in the trash it goes along with any chance of me ever buying from Garmin again. Battery time and satellite connection are a joke on mine. I have another GPS as well working fine so I know its not user fault.
>>
>>74109313
DESU I don't blame you, had a Hawaii and it utterly pissed on my Samsung's performance and camera wise. If you don't use it for work, aren't polical on your phone then its not really going to make much of a difference anyway.
The embargo really was the US getting pissy that they're loosing phone sales to Chinese manufacturing.

it's old and hard to find but I've been using the Pebble Time for about a decade now and nothing else comes close to how functional it is

pros:
Ten day battery life, always on face, easy to read even in sunlight

cons:
support stopped existing like 7 years ago and now you have to sideload an app called Rebble to get it to sync with your phone
>>
>>74110482
it's a watch, first and foremost, which is where most smart watches fail. I use it for checking notifications so my phone can always be on silent

Sexy. What diameter? I was just watching a video about 34mm watches, some dude was predicting they will come back in style as the 44mm+ behemoths go out.
>>
>>74110634
Funnily enough this one is 34mm

I'd say that's true, older/smaller watches have definitely been getting more popular lately
>>
>>74102415
I use this for runs
Garmin was really the only serious brand for a bit
I have no need to upgrade because I'm a casual runner. I just want to know my distance and time per mile.
>>
>>74110666
Very nice, I have a 6.5" wrist so tend to stick around 36-39mm (>>74107718 is 39mm). My biggest watch is >>74108640 at 41.5mm and is a slightly too big for me but I just fell in love with the yellow and since it's a chronograph I just say to myself hey, it's a stopwatch too so it's ok to be oversized a bit. Was your Rolex a family heirloom or something?
>>
>>74110770
Nah lol I just got my first real job and I wanted to buy a nice watch to celebrate but new ones are like 7k+ so I went with this just to start myself off

You can get a nice oysterdate (the one I got) for usually like 1.5k-2k
>>

I had a charge three that I wore when I did cardio, worked out etc but its pretty much cooked now. Google too involved in fitbit now so will probably look for a garmin or something to replace it, plus not sure I really dig the newer charge models anyway. Liked the basic look and features of the charge 3

>And what's the best one for Android?

Anything with a sapphire screen, easily visible display, hr momnitor, and at least a week of battery life is mostly what you should look out for. Most will have their own tracking app thing, but i'm not familiar with all of them. The garmin workout tracking is bretty good even for just lifting weights, and the GPS is excellent for anything you do outdoors.

they’re just a waste of money for anything fitness-related, the ones that most accurately track heart rate are over $400 when you could just buy picrel. if you buy a smart watch for fitness purposes you are a chump and a consoomer.

>>

Because it's cheap, plays music and counts steps - which are literally the only things I care about.

Nothing else is worth measuring unless you roon, IMO. Or at least you don't get the fidelity necessary to get any value out of the things that are measured.
Supposedly waterproof too, although I'd never trust it.
>>

Battery lasts between 18 and 21 days depending on sun rays. That's amazing. For the other stuff, nothing to declare. Works great. GPS, sport modes, etc.
The only thing I don't get is why it frequently disconnects from the iPhone. Seems these Apple shits are made to work flawlessly with their own brand.
