Some parts of Cali are still nice but you'll need money or connections, and be prepared to get by in a car-dependant terrarium no matter your income. South Florida is a lost cause and north Florida is a place for old people and grimey blacks. Pretty girls and great food in both states but it's just not worth it imo. You can find those in other places, other cities. The whole of the US has lost any charm. Texas once was an escape but now it's just the worst parts of Texas + the worst parts of California.
