When I was with someone (almost 20 years ago now) it was generally bad for sleep. Snuggling in the winter is all well and good but the fat goblina I lived with was murder in the summer. For me, sleeping in the same bed as my gf, now wife, had the same effect. I went from not being able to sleep a straight 8 hours to sleeping like a rock next to her. In the first year this was great. But then I learned later this was due to a mental complex of fear of abandonment which creates a codependency issue where I depended on her entirely for happiness. Until I started working on that, it meant that any time we were annoyed with each other, my sleep became even worse and I'd have extreme anger and panic. As well as other relationship issues.
