Why are so many people who are 30+ so out of shape and look like shit? Big visceral fat bellies, terrible skin and balding. They look like they've given up on life.

Is this what full time wage slave life does to you? I feel like its easy to stand out as a 30+ year old if you are somewhat in shape

It's what your body looks like if you eat highly processed simple sugars as your primary calorie source while living a primarily sedentary lifestyle with multiple vitamin/mineral deficiencies.
>>
>>74116616
>Is this what full time wage slave life does to you?
Yes. But you have to realise something first. Normals don't know a damn thing about nutrition. Most spent their twenties without ever having learnt how to cook. A burger here, some fries there, a few beers with the lads on Friday, they were never shredded or anything but their metabolism did most of the work. Fast forward to 35. They have been working in an office, getting no exercise between their desk job and their commute, eating whatever slop is served in the cafeteria. They still haven't learned how to cook and their nutrition comes from pre packaged meals or Uber eats. They don't know about fat, they don't know about protein, they don't know about carbs, macros, micros or whatever any of that shit means. Normals take food at face value. I should know, I was one of them. Bad nutrition catches up to you at one point or the other and good nutrition in the modern age requires genuine research and effort, if not outright passion.

That's because they probably have

This. A lot of the negative things people attribute to aging are in fact the accumulative effect of decades of consuming fake chemical food and sugar as well as not exercising.

Also once men get in long term relationships they lose their incentive to stay in shape
>>
>>74116616
you can work an office job and not be a fat piece of shit. I'm 32 and I do it. 80% of the people in my office though go from sitting in their cubicle all day, eating pizza or red robin for lunch every day, then grab Wendy's on the way home where they eat it on the couch and don't get up until it's time to go to bed. just fucking work out and eat actual food, it's not difficult.

>>
>>74116683
I never worked full time, but have had part time where it was more than 3 days in a row. Work 5 days a week is fucked and to do it every week is insane. Add a decade of wage slaving while your country's subhuman population is growing and yeah, most people gave up. And things got pretty bad in 2016 and a lot worse now. If you're in your 30s working now,it must be brutal. I was working pre COVID and even then I noticed how shitty work was.
>>
>>74117308
Add the fact that during lock downs, our borders were still open, so in 2024, there was a huge demographic change. If you work, these are the people you see every day.
>>
>>74116836
yeah basically this.

also once your test starts dropping off (happening to guys in their early 20s now due to microplastics) you just turn into something that looks like a baby but scaled upwards. skinnyfat, big belly but ribs showing, zero legs, hank hill ass, hunched posture, you know the vibe.

people also make a shitload of excuses for how they want to spend their time. frankly i understand where it's coming from, everyone is spiteful that they have to grind a career for so much of their day, but you can't let that undermine your health just because you want to throw a little tantrum about it and go home and goon or whatever the fuck people do instead of lifting.
>>
Most people don't put any effort into cooking or sourcing their own food. Most people do 0 excersize.
Having a 40hr work week is not really an excuse, but people use it as one.
I am 30, and I work 50hrs a week at a very physical job. I also run my 30 acre farm in my freetime and still get to the gym 4x a week to lift. Most nights I get 6hrs of sleep, weekends I usually get 8.
Most people just get home, heat up a pizza or order in, and sit in front of their TV and computers for 4-5hrs before laying in their bed with their phone for another 2. Then they say they "have no time" to workout or cook. They do, they just would rather be lazy and use that time to consoom and turn their brains off.
>>
>>74117354
>everyone is spiteful that they have to grind a career for so much of their day
People were fine with this. Boomers never complained. It's just all the weak younger generations but I don't fully blame them. Perhaps the coworkers of the younger gens are "shittier."

How do you stay consistent when the wage slave life is so taxing. I sorta understand it that you wouldn't wanna workout when you have to commute and then work is mentally taxing where you just wanna do nothing with the little free time you have
>>
>>74118259
Motivation gets you started, discipline keeps you going. It can be very easy to get in the habit of "I'm not feeling it today I'll just skip this once" and next thing you know you've been out of your routine for 6 months. Those days where you REALLY don't want to do it are the most important. You don't have to go 100% on those days, just give yourself greater than 0%.
>>
It's the fat retard tax, which mainly kicks in when you hit 30 and your metabolism kicks in.

Your hormones aren't gonna do it alone for you anymore unless you have god-tier genes so people don't feel the drive that they had mid-20's and become fat retards. Basically you had 30 years to create your internal motivation system and if you don't have it by 30 you've really fucked up and you're gonna start paying back taxes.

It has nothing to do with them being wageslaves or whatever, most people literally just can't be bothered, they're cattle. Working out, eating right, getting enough sleep? Nah. Reading martial arts books that have much of the motivation they've been searching for in their life? Nah, youtube shit that doesn't help.
>>74116681
>A few beers with the lads on friday
Average american does 600 drinks a year, so basically 2 a day, and this is probably underreported. Add this on to the vast majority also not eating a single piece of fruit per day.

Overeating mostly.
Most humans throughout history until the last few decades never exercised for recreation but werent as fat as people are now.

Yes. No energy or time to work out after working a full time job, for years you eventually look like shit.
>>
>>74116616
Only pro athletes, neets, kids and students have time to train. If you have a normal adult life you maybe have 2-3 hours a day to yourself, during which you have to shop for groceries, cook, eat at the very least if you're autistically single. That's already little time to train, now imagine you have a gf or wife, or a good relationship with your own family.

Probably not, I've worked in the states and Americans really don't drink much compared to us Bongs.

Neetbux, getting on disability was the best decision for my health I’ve ever made. Wageslaving literally kills you.

There's nothing normal about the lives most adults have these days, it's just slavery.
>>
>>74119340
No shit, Mr. History Major.
But most people didnt do any of that.
You think some garment factory worker in the year 1878 came home from his 12 hour shift and did Zumba for an hour in his little NYC apartment?
Or some serf farmer went back to his hut and did aerobics?
>>
>>74117372

Now the only way to move up is job hopping with no stability
>>

This is true. Fitizens will call wagucucks lazy but in the end they probably never lived the wagie life. I was one of them and it's nearly impossible to be serious about fitness while being an office wagecuck. Especially if you have any aspirations, and don't let me start on commuting 1hr and 30 mins x2 daily with the horrendous traffic conditions of most cities these days.. if you also want to have a gf? Forget it.
So I said fuck that and I'm now a neet with a six pack

Fuck all you jews and wagies

i saw a fat bitch today walking her dog and i thought to myself: how do you even let yourself get fat? Why, with all the proof in the world that being a fat fuck is literally the worst thing you can do to yourself, why still become a fat fuck? Why never actually see your peak body potential?
>>
>>74119951
It's even sadder to me when people who are attractive and slim but they still become fat. Saw it happen to few people from high school, like does not looking at old pics of yourself not give you enough motivation to hit the treadmill?

>>74118775
cooking is pretty easy once you actually start doing it. you will probably fuck up and burn your first few meals but thats fine, everyone does. Get a cast iron skillet, olive oil, salt, pepper, some basic spices (cumin, smoked paprika, garlic powder, and onion powder), a meat thermometer, and a food scale if you wanna track macros accurately.
Something I did a lot while first learning was turning up the heat way too high. My dial on the stove goes up to like 8 or 9 and I usually only keep it at 3 or so unless Im boiling water or something.
Anyway, buy some chicken breast, or lean ground beef, or steaks, or salmon or whatever protein you want, add some seasoning (be careful with salt, just a light covering of the surface area on both sides is usually enough depending on the meat/thickness), heat some oil in the pan and put the food in there. Flip after a few minutes, let it sit for a few more minutes and if its fish, you could take it off. If its chicken, leave it on until it hits 155 F on the thickest part and then take it off, flipping it every few minutes until it hits that temp. If your chicken takes too long to get to temp, you can cut it in half length-wise and butterfly, which cuts the cooking time down a lot.
Bear in mind this is very general and non specific. Often with something like ground beef I just wont use any oil and just cook it straight on the pan.
Also look up how to season and care for a cast iron pan. Its brain dead easy and helps a lot but definitely isnt required if you dont feel like it.
This is kind of all over the place and not focused and was more a stream of conscious so I apologize if its unorganized or hard to follow. I just wrote tips that would have helped me when learning how to cook
>>
>>74120070
Cast iron is a reddit meme. Just get a non stick pan
>>
>>74120199
I agree theres a bunch of weird nerds on reddit that onions out over cast iron, but I like cooking with more than non stick. maybe I just have shitty non stick pans, but cast iron is easier for me to clean too

>>
>>74116616
Personally if I woke up 30 and single in the West I'd be looking to emigrate to South America.
At least it's honest about being a shithole. It's impossible to overstate the psychological damage of living in a society that rejects God, embraces satan, and then demands you celebrate it's failures as successes just to get by another day.
We literally have migrants going back to their country of origin when they realize a salary of 50k is pointless when your cost of living is 49.9k just to own the shirt on your back.
>>
>>74118775
Salmon is so goddamn easy. Slap it on a nonstick pan, 6 min on each side medium high. Tastes great without any spices. Do it just to demystify cooking for yourself

mehh. not really about impressing people or just wanting to look how you want. I don't really want people to check me out or try to impress people. I just do what I do. Doesn't add up. Dudes will have this attitude and then blame her when the divorce papers get filed, and next thing you know some bitter old slob is lecturing young bloods about how women are whores. Pro tip, retard: People will ALL respond to your carrots and sticks. If it's more rewarding to be a stranger to you than to be close to you, then people will choose to be strangers.

My brother in Christ you've taken a step towards your future divorce with this post, change your ways.

don't use a non stick pan unless you want teflon leeching into your food and poisoning you. use stainless steel or cast iron. To make it non stick you need to bring the pan up to moderate temperature, usually medium heat for a couple minutes, then add oil (i use avocado) then swirl it around in the pan to evenly coat. let it sit for another 30s. Pan should be hot, but not so hot the oil is smoking. At this point you can add eggs, meat, whatever and it won't stick. WIth meat it will still leave some fond on the bottom of the pan, but that's a good thing. You can make pan sauces or cook your vegetables in there with some water or broth to scrape up the fond, infusing them with more flavor.
>>
>>74121851

>>74116616
Why not? Unironically asking. Life isnt anime, you arent some smokeshow followed by millions and inspiring the future generations. Im looksmaxxing myself, but thats because im severely mentally ill, terminally online and i hate my life and myself. I'd much rather be 30+ and content with my life, happy with how i look, happy with my wife, family, social relationships etc. Why keep the artificial rat race up? Okay you are balding, so what? Literally every single male is balding at one point or another. You already got the love of your life, not everyone is trying to meet up with teenagers behind the supermarket in their 30's.
>>
>>74121969
I agree with this sentiment, at a certain point in life you start to live to die rather than look forward to anything new. I've seen this in many people over 35. Their kids leave them for new things, their parents die, their spouses are also getting old and ugly. There's just no reason is keep giving a fuck.

You definitely lack somewhere because there's only so much time in a 24hrs time frame. Maybe you don't want to see it but definitely you gotta choose at some point:

Am I serious about my job and my fitness? What about my hobbies? What about my friends? My gf? Yeah but is it serious enough as a commitment and could I start my own family?
And if you don't like all that -- ask yourself: would I be more optimized in my fitness (workouts, diet, rest and so on) if I didn't have to be a wagie?

The book of five rings is the best starting one, try to find a translation that was made for martial artists and not businessmen. It's a quick read but is really fundamental for following the way of the warrior.
After that it's
>Living the Martial Way: A Manual for the Way a Modern Warrior Should Think
This one goes more in-depth and builds off the previous book, the guy who wrote it isn't perfect but you should easily be able to just extract the good info from it.

That'll get you started. If you wanted to move away from martial arts and go more towards the philosohpy side "the four agreements" is new age stuff but offers a good framework for how you can change your life overnight by making new agreements with yourself. It's more abstract and you definitely need more of a framework to understand it and put it in practice but if you already have that level of understanding it's pretty good.
>>
>>74117372
They're not okay with grinding because they enjoy no benefits that previously came with that lifestyle. No wife, no kids, no house, just you and your small studio, forever. Why would they grind... Any suffering is bearable when you have a why.

This is very true. Clean up is the worst part. Most people would rather not cook than clean their heavy annoying fucking cast iron pan. Non-stick reduces friction to near 0 and boosts the likelihood of people cooking by a huge amount. Cast iron is like giving someone who never went to the gym a PPL mike israetel deload meso cycle carb cycle reverse pyramid rpe 2 slow concentric type of program. >let me start on commuting
The commutepill is real and something that doesn't get discussed often enough. A long commute is a death sentence for your free time and energy, especially if it's some horrible shit like sitting in traffic. It's never worth it. A short commute (ideally < 15 min) is life changing. A guy who walks 15 minutes to work might as well have super powers compared to a guy who has to drive for 1.5 hours. You can look at it like it's just an extra 2.5 hours per day (which is a shit ton of time) but it's so much more than that. Really it's more like 4+ hours when you factor in the added stress, the extra time you need to decompress/prepare, the diminished productivity, the lost 3000 or so steps you would have taken on a walk etc. Guys who have full time jobs but drag themselves to and from some suburb a million miles away from where they work every day are truly and deeply cucked.

> Average american does 600 drinks a year,
Sauce? That seems ridiculously high. Even if you’re out Friday and Saturday and have 10-12, that’s a 2 a day average. Most people with jobs aren’t partying every weekend and aren’t having one or two after dinner EVERY night.
>>
>>74119331
> you have a normal adult life you maybe have 2-3 hours a day to yourself, during which you have to shop for groceries, cook, eat at the very least if you're autistically single.
Bullshit. I leave for work about 7:30 and get home about 5:30 outside of busy season. That’s 4-5 hours of free time. I work out for 1.5 hours and that still leaves plenty of time to cook, eat, play with the dog, and hang out with my gf.

You don’t get groceries everyday unless you’re retarded. You don’t mow or do yard or house work every day. Cooking takes an hour for a more complicated meal, you can do healthy home cooked meals in 30-45 minutes. Meal prepping and eating leftovers gets you more time back. What you meant to say is
>I want to lay down and look at a screen for 2-3 hours and not have to think
I get it. We all do that sometimes. It’s making that the habit that’s the problem. Get a home gym and watch tv or whatever while you’re working out.
>>
>>74117372
Boomers also had much much more financial incentive to grind. Today just being average gets you a 1 bedroom apartment and a lifetime of just getting by. The average worker 40 years ago got a house, cars, and a family. You don’t have a family if you don’t have a house.

Bullshit. That doesn’t end. You have way more keeping up with the Jones’s when you get older. The impressing is no longer physical appearance but money, items, and status. Which is funny because if you’re mid 30s and in shape you are always going to mog some fatass that gave up but has a nicer car

Best of luck. I understand you need to eat and live but no need to suck Mr Noseberg cock and pretend it's alright to work 60hrs per week for somebody else's money

i got fat once (during lockdown) at first it was the most fun i ever had, eating and doing nothing is honestly the most dopamine inducing thing you can do all day, it's an addiction

when you're young your metabolism is higher so you can be eating more junk and not get as big but as you age your metabolism slows down so if you maintain the same diet you start getting fat.

>I feel like its easy to stand out as a 30+ year old if you are somewhat in shape
I'm builtfat and 37 that looks slim in work clothes and have a clean appearance. It's insane how much attention I get from women at work compared to when I was young. Maybe it's because I work at a hospital and they're used to seeing old people and mega fatties all day

Most develop shit eating habits in teens and early twenties when they can get away with it and not feel consequences. Then it balloons out of control and you either give up or spend your thirties fixing the errors you made. Forties is the second twenties now.

t. spending thirties fixing errors I did

It's pretty simple. Think of it like not taking care of your car. First couple years, it won't really be noticable. But several years and a bunch of mileage later, if you didn't maintain it, it's in rough shape. Not really a hard concept. You can look great when you get older but not if you never took care of yourself. You can start, too, but just like fixing up a beat up car, it'll be a lot more work to get it back in good shape if it was treated like shit for a long time. Simple concept. You don't just "fall apart after 30," it's that for most people that is 30 years of abuse and zero maintenance, so it's starting to show. And really, I don't care about their dumb excuses. I work a full time job and do a lot of overtime too, own a home, I am busy like everyone else, but I manage to make it to the gym an hour a day 5 days a week and have for 10 years now. And I still pay too many video games too. People are just lazy as fuck and full of excuses for things like fitness.

That’s because work actually made you feel like a man. You went to work with people that were like you, you worked with your hands or in other leadership positions that had you directly interfacing with people, and you went home to somebody who appreciated your labor. You also weren’t expected to be ‘on call’ for the wife all day long when at work and ‘on call’ for work when at home.

These days work is worse in all ways. The digital era fucked us
