Who here /costochondritis/, how did you recover.>dips are saf-aaack
>>74121016Checking in. Diagnosed myself with it a few months ago and went to the doc monday and he said its likely I have it. Been dealing with it for well over a year. Avoiding anything that hits chest. Completely cut out bench, push ups, dips, etc. Dips were my favourite excercise. I could do so many now I probably cant even do one. Any time I think its safe for me to slowly start again, I do a couple pushups then the next day my chest feels like its broken. Even doing baby weight on a dip machine trying to bias my triceps sets me back. I seriously dont know what to do, it never gets better. Doc gave me a refferal to physio, should i follow through? Probably gona have to pay out of pocket as I have bad insurance at work.
>>74121433I'm doing the back peanut routine from fitnessfaqs: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=oj6MNlqkRfAseems to be working, I am now back to ~20kg db bench press (won't lockout though).Pullups, dips, deads, pushups, pullovers are still off the menu.Good luck senpai
>>74121016I started just digging my fingers into my ribs like around the armpit area (sensitive even without the chostro so be prepared, it’s almost painful to do this) and massaging it and shit. It offered relief. Kept doing that. Eventually went away. Also on my pec when I felt it there.
