why can't i just do flies instead of benching for the purpose of pec mass? if i wanted big biceps, i would do bicep curls, not pull ups. if i wanted big delts, i would do lateral raises and rear delt flies, not ohp. if i wanted bigger hamstrings, i would do leg curls, not deadlifts. but for some reason you mean to tell me that isolating the pecs and destroying the muscle will not make them grow? WHY? it doesn't make any damn sense.

Because using enough weight and volume necessary to build a big chest with flies would destroy your shoulder joint retard. Just pick a different chest isolation that doesn't put your joints at risk

with cable flies i have full control of the grip, grip width, elbow position and shoulder position, and there's no bar to fall on my neck when going to failure. it's way safer than bench. what pec isolation do you recommend?

do them so? if you feel you’re getting more activation then do that. it’s literally your body.
