been a while since ive posted on CBT. 5'8, still have visible abs but have gained a few centimeters of fat on my lower abdominals and ass cheeks. i do mainly calisthenics, light volume work, and lift heavy with dumbbells at least once a week. goal is to try and hit 150+ by the end of the year.

ppl, 4 to 6/week. I tracked protein and went from 85 to 165 lbs bench, -30 assisted pull up to 5 reps, 185 1rm squat to 10 for 185. Now that it's getting warm again, I do a fuck ton of cardio in part to the weight loss I started in February. I rent a sub 24 min 5k and my one mile pr is just below 6:15.

Basado replier. I already hit chest as hard as I can 1x per week, usually leaves me with DOMS for about 3-4 days min with heavy flat bench, incline db press and machine cable flyes. My chest has just always sucked and my bench has always been pathetic for my bodyweight, I'm guessing it's just my genetics or something because I don't have the same issue anywhere else. I went for a heavy bb bench and the most I could squeeze out was 2 reps of 70kg before failure, which I think is pretty shit at 80kg bw? Don't look much different here than prior to lifting, genetics plays a strong role, hit 95KG/210lb bench within a few weeks so think I just respond well + had a good baseline fitness, your doubt is understandable though since it's clearly outside of the norm.

YMMV but I found doing a bit of a cut and focussing more on cardio for a while made it way easier to visually track results once I started to work harder at lifting.

If you’re gaining strength at all then I’m sure you’ve made more progress than what you can actually see right now.
