>can curl 35lbs in each hand for reps
>still look like a skinny dyel twig whose never touched a weight in my life

>go to gym
>see visibly jacked guys only curling 30lbs

why?
>>
jacked guys are curling 30lbs slow and controlled as accessories after a high intensity workout

you are curling 35s with bad form as your high intensity workout

OP will never recover

35lbs is not impressive
hope that helps
>>
>>74137191
Your form is shit. Its not about moving the weight around, its about driving every last ounce of muscle fiber to contract, eccentric controlled and slow. Drop the weight, slow down, and youll see why the jacked guys are using less weight.

You're focusing on the weight and not your muscles

that guy is a retarded TRT monkey

good form =! slow concentrics
>>

Thanks anons. In other words, I need to be training more for hypertrophy than strength?

Yes, who cares about strength since that's gonna go up anyway as you train regardless. Powershitters are the most worthless gym bros ever, worse than fucking zoomers.
>>
>>74137310
do heavy compounds for strength and accessories for hypertrophy
>>
>>74137191
ill bite
post routine
>>
>>74137191
Most jacked guys can curl a lot more than what they use for training
>>
The other anons are right but let's not forget that roided lifting will be better for hypertrophy even with less load. And there's lots of roided lifters
>>
>>74137191
Because the jacked guy is on roids and has been training for years, and you aren't and have been training for a month
>>
They're leaner
>>
>>74137191
Training for strength is not the same as training for hypertrophy.
35lbs isn't impressive

>Doing curls or any other single-joint movement as a staple exercise instead of a finisher
>Considering 35 lbs impressive

Wew, lad
>>
>>74137191
>why?
roids
it's all about the roids
if you take roids and don't train you'll build more muscle than training natty
>>
>>74137191
There can be multiple reasons why, you are probably
-using shit form or not as good as you think.
-you do curls but don't do anything else like pull ups and rows.
-you don't eat enough.
-you don't sleep enough.
-you just started to workout and respond well the neuronal adaptations wich means you're getting stronger quick by being more efficient on firing muscle mass and simply need to stick around for longer.
-you are doing curls with low reps for strength instead of hypertrophy.

>Everyone with muscles is on roids
>>
They're probably shorter and/or weigh less than you. Percent of bodyweight lifted is a better barometer for this kind of thing. They probably also have better form, are probably fucking around after doing their heavy compounds, and probably do more reps or are simply dropsetting when you see the 30s come out. Also no one is actually jacked if they are only curling 30lbs dumbbells unless they're a literal midget
