Count calories, all of them.
Eat about 500-1000 less calories than your TDEE.
Buy scales, be accurate.
Learn to cook. Try to stick to lean protein and green vegetables.
Eat a lot of protein. 0.72g per pound of goal lean body mass.
Doing cardio, even just walking, will improve your health. There is no such thing as a healthy fat heart, but you can offset the risks.
Lifting weights will keep and gain muscle mass and burn fat much quicker. No lifting results in the body burning away muscle AND fat.
Drink more water.

What activities do you do to keep your mind off food while fasting/skipping meals? Got a Haynes manual and I've been doing a full service on my motorcycle

I'm slightly concerned.
I usually consume minimum necessary fat intake to avoid hormonal issues(going by 0.31g/lb goal bodyweight) but I have few days when I kept overall calories the same but ate some fatty meat instead as a treat with both larger amount of fat and all the fat in one meal instead of spread over 3. A bit more than once a week on average.
And over the last few weeks, every time I did that I got massive watery diarrhea. First few times since I was grilling pork I just thought I'd undercooked it a little and got mild food poisoning, but yesterday it was a piece of slow roasted pork that had no chance of being undercooked so the pattern became obvious.
Did I fuck up my ability to digest fat or something? Worried about my liver. Guess I'll start taking TUDCA after all.
At least I dropped 0.8kg since yesterday, so that's nice.

a common advice to not be considered sedentary is to do 10k steps a day, right? well I've started using a step tracker and let me tell you, if you don't have a physical job and don't do it on purpose, you're achieving maybe 2k on average if you drive everywhere, maybe up to 5k if you live in Europe and walk places as part of your daily commute/shopping. 10k steps is like two hours of straight up walking a day. Keep in mind that, assuming you have 60kg lean body mass, when you're like 150kg and lose 2kg you lose 1/45 of your bodyfat, but when you're 97kg and you lose 1kg you lose 1/27 of body or almost twice as much despite only losing half the weight. It's not about the percentage of your absolute weight you're losing, but the percentage of your extra fat you're losing.

This never happened to me in 2 years of dieting and close to 100 lbs lost overall. If your diet is consistent you will never see these kind of fluctuations. If you gorge on salad one day and eat pizza the next then yes, your weight will be all over the place due to water retention. If you can't bear with it then weigh yourself daily and average out the number every 2 weeks.

For losing weight, absolutely not, I have lost weight easily while still drinking artificially sweetened drinks and sodas. Its still bad because a) they might be cancerous (unproven) and b) you still associate sweet stuff = good stuff, and you need to change your outlook on food long term and de-associate the need for even your drinks needing to be tasty and so on.

Why does it make me so uncomfortable every time my dad brings up my weight loss? Been wearing a CGM and tried ending keto after multiple months of doing it, to test my body's ability to process blood glucose (and subsequently insulin.) I was eating around 1200 calories a day worth of chicken teriyaki and white rice, thinking it was enough to kick me out of ketosis (around 400 calories of white rice and probably 150 calories of teriyaki aka pure sugar.) Somehow I was still pissing ketones and had 0 hunger meaning I was eating like 100g carb a day and still in ketosis. This was fucking with my blood sugars so the day I weighed in at 238.4 I decided to say fuck it, let's go all out and nuke this shit. That's what the sundae thing was about.
Today I did some grocery shopping at Costco and decided to really double down on keeping ketosis at bay and got the cheese pizza with my wife. Also had to pick up some sweets for my dad visiting from overseas and got the cheese danish 2 for 1 and had to try one.
Starting tomorrow I'll be going back to eating cleaner with a low fat beef stew and then once I'm out of that it's fasting time. Maybe shoot for 5 days with snake juice. That'll easily undo any damage I did these past 2 days and then some. It's just a minor setback really. My TDEE with me walking 6 miles a day is like 3000 calories so in all honesty, that's why I only went up like 0.8 lbs today with all those carbs and sugars adding water weight. It was probably only 0.2 lbs real fat added. Tomorrow will be similar I bet. I'll probably weigh in at 240.6 lbs at most. We'll see in 12 hours.

I don’t fucking get it bros. I reduce my lunch with 200 calories and suddenly I’m tired, weak and unmotivated all day. Feel like shit. I was told 200 calories wouldn’t make me feel that much different. It’s not an electrolytes issue, I swapped my pasta for sweet potatoes and they have more electrolytes, even if I eat less.

I’m already in a mild deficit.

Need advice, currently at 187cm 120kg. Got down last year from 117kg to 103-ish, sadly stress + other life shit piled on top of each other and got back to 120 now (excuses). Achieved last year's success with simple dieting and excercising at the swimming pool every 2nd day for an hour or so (on top of walking 7k steps+ each day). Would it be possible to replace swimming with cycling if I was to do, say, 15km to start with? I'm at a point in life where I have a shit ton of time and found myself going out to cycle regardless, did 10km daily for the last 4 days and I already feel better - will preferrably switch to every 2nd day though to allow my body some time for rest and go higher distances, 30km is my current goal (mostly cycling around the city so ain't really that easy to get to that lol, solid 2-3 hours of excercise needed). Thanks in advance, hope to see you all in non-hog territory one day.

I have incredibly well developed muscles in the legs (lack the proper grammar to describe them though, esl moment) from years of skiing (almost professional at one point), somehow they still stuck. Helps a lot, still, other parts of my body are somewhat developed too as my chink scale says that 78-ish kg's of my body weight is supposed to be muscles.

How do I convince the doctor to put me on a CPAP machine? Or at least give me a sleep study?

I've reached the point where I'd almost beg for it, but I was refused last time I tried.
I can't sleep, I snore, and apparently I choke and suffocate while asleep... Yet the doctors won't help

I tried man. Last time the doctor just signed off a stool test.
When I came back for the follow up she had no sympathies for me. Said my stool returned fine and that I was fit and healthy despite what I told her.

6 months later, I'm now visiting another GP with the same complaint.
