/fit/ sisters, is it normal to experience period pain? or is it a result of our diets. does ginger help? Could working out more and fasting make periods shorter and lighter?

I hate how exposing this thread is, I know nothing about the female menstruation cycle nor the hormonal processes.

I’m gonna assume you’re a tranny and so I will say this: you’re not having a period, it’s literally the amalgamation of your Starbucks milkshakes, 7-11 roller dogs, and margaritas forming a diarrhea in your body. Trannies can not have periods and will never ever be women (unless they were born female)
>>
>>74219701
Idk, I only have pain the first day. But my period pain DID get stronger after my first kid, then it went back to baseline, then it got stronger after I got my copper IUD, now it’s back to normal. What’s your general pain tolerance? What is on the same level as your cramping, bad stomach gas or stubbing all your toes at once? Are you otherwise regular? Are you under or overweight? Do you take a WOMENS multivitamin?

That's fucking weird, period pain usually gets milder after giving birth.
My wife had to take strong medication (she had pain to the point of losing consciousness) before giving birth and now it's almost like nothing
>>
>>74219701
You have no nerves in your womb so period pain is a psychological taught response to stomach cramps. You have been trained to think periods have pain but they should not. They just have feeling, like defecation does. Your body responds to the movement.
>>
>>74220126
Why would there be no nerves in a giant muscle pouch?
>>
>>74219952
I did have pain where I had a tear after #1 UNTIL #2 was born and somehow it was broken again and healed right that time. Bodies are interesting machines

I don’t have kids but it seems like my periods are getting worse with age. It feels like my uterus is being twisted.
No multivitamins or anything like that. Would it help? And likewise, it only lasts the first day, maybe two.
>>74220126
Are you a woman? Because I know when my period is starting or started just by the way my uterus feels.
>stomach cramps
the stomach is not near the uterus
>>
>>74220271
Ignore him he’s baiting. A multivitamin may help, some herbal estrogen regulators like valerian root can help. You might actually have fibroids or another disorder, but like any non lethal disorder it’s best to try natural first before medication. Do you have any other symptoms that might hint at ovarian cysts? If so, I can’t recommend SPEARMINT tea enough! Spearmint is known to reduce testosterone in females, two “doses” a day can show effects in a few weeks. Plus it tastes good with zero calories.

Male here but my ex gf used to have very painful periods. Ob/gyn doc said it was because her uterus was prone to develope myomas. As he explained to us, during the period the uterus compress itself trying to get completely sealed. Myomas(just benign thick and hard patches of uterus skin) don't allow that so the uterus keeps compressing itself and that's what causes the intense pain.
Just go to your obs/gyn to check your insides.
All the best, WAGMI!!

>>74221221
It can also just be a tilted uterus but yes go to gynecology and if they say you're fine get a second opinion. Don't accept a fibro diagnosis it's the new " I'm a bad doctor " and while spearmint tea is great masking your bodies imbalances for hormone tests that unlike men have to be scheduled for a few days of the month in advanced is stupid.

Spearmint tea after.

I am learning from this thread as well anon
>>
depends on how bad the pain is. having a little bit of cramps is fine but if it's unbearable then that's not good
>>
>>74219856
how long did it take after childbirth to get back to baseline? my wife is experiencing this and our child turned 6 last month.
she’s on low- or non-estrogen birth control and always says she feels like she’s being stabbed.

according to women having to go through periods is worse than the holocaust and 9/11 combined

I was promised breastfeeding would help lose weight, what I was not told is I’d be constantly hungry all day long, negating any benefit from burning those ~500 calories per day.
I deeply regret falling for the oats meme.
>>
>>74222842
get your husband to breastfeed along with your child, there’s no way you can overeat while nourishing a child and a grown man at the same time.

not jesting, i did this a lot while my wife was breastfeeding, albeit not to cover my caloric intake. it was a very nice bonding experience, erotic at times, wholesome and romantic at others and i remember it fondly.

It's not normal to experience periods.
I can fix that temporarily for the next nine months and then we can repeat if you know what I mean
>>
>>74222806
My deepest condolences, my oldest is 3, then we had a miscarriage, my youngest is 2. Generally after 3 months all was mostly normal, but after my 2yo it was a bit longer (4 months) because I’d had such a bad uterine infection and I hurt longer. It might’ve just been psychological honestly, it wasn’t fun to be rotting alive and then manually squeezed to make sure all the rot is out. I can only speak from my own experience and say that while there WAS a change, things healed in a few months time

Pain of some degree is normal with cramping but there is definitely a level of cramping/pain that isn't which may be indicative of a few things
If you have irregular, painful periods you may have PCOS
If you have an extremely painful period out of the blue you may have an ovarian cyst which will most likely pass on its own but will really suck
Being a healthy weight, eating well, and exercising will help regulate your cycle to some degree. Stress and very low body fat levels will both contribute to irregular periods.
I don't know anything about ginger. Definitely make sure you aren't anemic though as a lot of young women are to some degree often because they eschew red meat and don't make up for it in the rest of their diets.

went from having gradually more painful periods as I got older after 20 and having to take pain meds/use heat packs and avoid cold things to having no pain at all now and can eat anything/be in any temperature (disclaimer: I've no endometriosis or fibroids diagnosis, but consistently very painful periods)
in order of what i did:
0. natto every day (pain 100% -> 50%)
1. core strengthening exercises 2-3x a week, casual weight lifting (pain 50%->25%)
2. fixing sleep to wake with the sun/sleep a bit after sunset (pain 25% -> 0%)
3. unsure if it helped but i also started doing around 7-10k steps a day during pain 25% -> 0% from previously being sedentary

Extreme pain isn't normal iirc, get her cooch checked out with a GOOD gynecologist

I despise how much information is just not shared among women, is part of some pyramid scheme/money grab, or just some strange nonsense. My mom lives breathes and will soon die by essential oils so I thought it was all a bunch of hooey. Until I started seeing other women demonstrating how to ACTUALLY use oils and herbal supplements properly. My ass is always taking notes and cross referencing now

I HAD A GIRL KEEP SAYING SOME SHIT TO KE ABOUT THE GIBBOUS MOON THAT MADE ME THINK SHE WAS AUTISTIC BIPOLAR AND TO HET AWAY FROM ME. FOR YEARS THIS HAS CONFUSED AND BOTHERED ME TRYING TO FIGURE OUT ITS MEANING

WAS IT CODE FOR HER CYCLE?
Assuming new moon is the start of a period and that gibbous is before the full moon (which I assume means ovulation), and the mafs would imply gibbous is days 12-16 into a new cycle and ovulation should be 16-20ish. was she ovulating, or atleast about to? Was she asking me to knock her up?
>>
>>74230659
maybe she was horny? ovulation makes girls horny.
she was asking you to do your manly duties, dummy.

Male here, but gf used to experience strong period pain, she started working out a couple months ago, didn't change her diet aside from adding a protein shake now and then, and her most recent periods were pretty painless. But it's only been a couple of months, so we'll see
