i got that pos in the cny sale, gonna paste impressions i wrote a few threads ago
> i'm too lazy to take a pic but if we're talking about our new pos i've been using magicone for a while. compared to other 1bas i have (floaudio lily, kbear neon) it definitely surpasses then as far as succeeding at sounding basically normal goes lol. you could reasonably recommend it as someone's only iem where other 1bas i've tried are niche at best. build is amazing, heavy solid resin pos that fits compact and deep, no pressure buildup for me. comes with a really nice looking and handling cable that smells like an oil spill, got mine in 4.4mm option for lightning fast transients enabled by the extra power (like how highways with wider lanes have higher speed limits). sound-wise it still kinda has that overly smoothed sound i associate with a 1ba, but timbre is very excellent and i think it'd be a top choice if you wanted a "reference" set as an alternative to say, etymotic. for leisure listening, i think most people would find it to be lacking in excitement. i like it for listening before bedtime or while i'm working and don't want to be too distracted. the most similar-sounding thing i have to it is hexa, and if i were buying outside of sales seasons, i'd 100% go for that for half the cost. for $100 on sale, magicone should be considered as an alternative to it for better build quality, semi-custom fit for isolation, and for being a good non-novelty option you can try if you're curious about 1ba sets.
>>
>>100060497
>heavy solid resin pos that fits compact and deep, no pressure buildup for me.
interesting, i've read that isolation is excellent and that some do suffer from pressure buildup despite it being vented

that doesn't make sense at all. you determine what size to get by having a reference point, which you seem unable to ascertain. to the same point as the above guy, why are you seeking to mindlessly consoom something you don't "need?" you're fine. don't waste $12 on a silicone ear tip that might not even fit you right, and on a fucking $10 iem as well.

Well well well, if it isn't another noteworthy post. I was lazy this time, left a couple of entries as is from the previous one. Prices in USD
IEMs:
>Kinera Celest Pandamon 2.0 ($60) 1SPD
Looks like a sleeker blue Phoenixcall. Tuning looks familiar but also weird.
>Dunu Titan S2 ($?) ?
Silver Dunu Titan S with the circle being completely red
>Tanchjim 4U ($70) 1DD
New Tanchjim pos with similar form factor to Chu/Lan. 4 "tunable" options that target bass. Looks like Tanchjim house sound.
>Simgot EM10 ($?) ? && Simgot EW300 ($?) ?
Simgot Flagship, still nothing. EW300 sounds like an upgrade of their EW line.
>Tangzu x HBB XuanNv ($80) 2DD
Another collab. At least it isn't some bass monstrosity this time. Looks quite similar to the Hexas, impressions should come in soon.
>Dunu x Gizaudio DaVinci ($?) 2DD + 4BA
Another collab, should be tuned neural-bassy if the poll is to be believed. The faceplate render looks ugly.
>Zhulinniao QingLuan Z4 ($45) 1DD
Mid-forward tuning with not much bass.
>7Hz Aurora ($400) 1 DD + 1PL + 2BA
7Hz flagship, tuning looks mediocre.
>Kinera Celest Relentess ($???) 1DD + 6BA
New Kinera pos. Faceplate looks relatively understated. Cable with interchangeable plugs.
>Moondrop x Crinacle DUSK ($360) 2DD + 2BA + 2PL
Finally released. Slightly improved fit, but ideal tuning for many is behind faulty and bad software/hardware DSP.
>I/O Volare ($600) 1DD + 4BA + 4EST
Solid tuning. Haven't looked too much into this one.
>"Obscure" brands (INTUAURA, CKLVX, PULA, NiceHCK, Raptgo, XINHS, QoA, Tiandirenhe, LUN SHENG, FLOAUDIO, etc)
Only consider if you have a coupler.
>TRN/KZ/CCA/Nicehck/CVJ/etc
You know the drill, not posting any of these. As always, beware of KZ/CCA stealth revisions.

DAC/Amps/Accessories
>Too many dongle DAC/amps
Not listing all of them. Most are using a dual CS43131 or ES9028Q2M
>HiBy W3 II
Hopefully measurements come out, looks solid.
>Moondrop Evo
TWS case/hooks. $90.

Yeah the pictures ive seen they look totally marred up and shitty. Those pots are designed to go on a pcb and be adjusted a few times in a product's lifespan, not to be consumer facing and changed frequently.
Also it results in a massive vent hole which i assume will do all sorts of shit to the tuning.

those are called vents and are used to tune the IEM, mainly bass response.

Majority of reviewers shilled simgot pos and the 711 graphs looked fine (there were a few ones which said that it is bad like shortbus, so take note - these people actually listen to stuff instead of graph circlejerk).
And then suddenly crin said that its all mid and 5128 graphs clearly show that there are some issues with the tuning. This was a deep cognitive dissonance and a shock for simzo because he realized that he got placeboed by the graphs into believing that it sounds good, so now he is in a state of permanent damage control and shilling to drag more people into making bad purchase like he did.

That's the only big company that has failed to pay off that fat fuck his extortion money.

>>
>>100069124
i've also tried them both and thought the opposite, not much point talking about treble when it's so variable. i was referring to the 2-8khz region that is noticeably brighter compared to an already bright pos.
>>

LM sounds way better to my ears. Much more resolving. It's not even close. YMMV.

well i mean, that matches identically to what i said. if you want to talk about mystical imaginary properties like resolution and soundstage and separation, be my guest.

>The earbuds that used to come with the Samsung Galaxy phones.
>Raycon everyday earbuds
>about half a dozen different generic earbuds from the dollar store
>Skull Candy
>JBL
>and most recently Razer Hammerhead Pro

Every single pair has been unpleasant, I have tried the different size tips but all of them are physically painful to insert and makes loud crinkling noises when I do. I really wish there were a good pair of earbuds in a similar style to the Apple Airpods, where they don't actually go into the ear canal, but Apple refuses to adopt USB-C and I don't want to have to have a specific dedicated cable just to charge my earbuds.

>>100076059
and btw have you been living under a rock? applel switched to usb-c, and earpods (which dont insert in ear canal) are sold with usb-c
>>
>>100076059
also i'll throw you a bone and detail the "proper" way to wear & remove earphones
>open your mouth and nostrils, you want the eustachian tube open (tube between our ears and throat)
>slowly insert the earphones, already playing audio at your preferred volume (not loud)
>once seated and sealed you can close your mouth
when removing earphones
>open mouth and nostrils again
>gently pull at the upper helix of your ears to break the earphone seal
>dig at the earphone at an angle it so that the seal breaks
>gently and slowly remove them
you do not want to just straight "unplug" them when they are sealed in your ear canals. this applies a plunger-like effect sucking out your eardrums (not good).

>>
>>100076540
surprisingly so. resolution is on par with its competitors, but it shines in instrument positioning and immersiveness.
comfort is also really great with an aggressive semi-custom shape that somehow fits me great.
oh and the bass is pretty standout. meaty and superbly punchy while also retaining a LOT of speed and snapiness. texturing is also really, really good, you can feel the rumble. you can feel the bass, but it never bleeds into the mids. maybe some extra warmth for a couple of tracks, but nothing egregious.
midrange is pretty decent. a bit recessed but still comes forward with surprising grit and musicality. voices are seductively realistic while being on the lighter, more ethereal side.
treble is amazing, just pure linear extension with amazing detailing and faultless timbre. both clean and relaxed but still with a lot of information, feels like the sharpest screen you'll see, but never tiring because everything is just so realistic.

I just throw everything in one folder and call it a day, player apps do a decent job at sorting shit out for me by themselves.

depends on how thorough you want the library to be, and your goal.
general rule of thumb is to get CD quality lossless for future proofing. anything above is mostly pointless, anything below and you lose a lot of transcoding possibilities. try getting FLAC files, they are the only option.
simplest way to organize is by Artist > Album, and then you can add any info you want like genre, release date, catalog number, quality, source, etc. this is purely from a file organization perspective
then you want to modify the metadata if possible. there are several tools that match what you have to music databases and sync the metadata so it's relatively low effort.
to do so, you need either a dedicated editor program, or a music player (easiest). foobar2000 and musicbee are the main options here. f2k has more customization, and generally more "powerful" in terms of music library organization. musicbee is just as powerful for most cases, and the UI looks nicer stock.
