Do westerns really can buy a $1000 pc with just a half of their month income?

In Russia, it would take a 1.5 month salary for me, and it's even considering good payment
>>
>>100141647
same here in Greece. A 600euro iphone is equivalent to a monthly wage
>>
>>100141647
A $1000 conputer equals 6 months of my monthly wage in Iran
Stop complaining

With a wage that low you could make more working 2 hours a day on freelancing sites. But I understand it might be difficult to get paid.
Maybe you could do bug bounties and ask to get paid in crypto then find someone willing to convert it to your local currency for a fee.
>>

My portfolio ticks $4k up and down every other minute lol

1277 gross is about 1000 net.
Also 600-700 net is what most people are paid, or slightly above that
>>
>>100141647
we also pay that much on rent so....
>>
>>100141647
>1.5 months salary
$1000 is currently less than my monthly salary as a nanosek in Russia. Conversion rate is getting worse though.

That's a path some people choose here. But most of those smart enough to do that stick to studying or getting proper work experience so they can move to a proper country as a phd student or high skilled worker.
I have a good resume with master's degree, I'll be moving out as I find a job
>>
>>100141849
What do you do?
Can I get a junior position?
I know some programming, network, all that stuff
>>
I'm among the bottom-rung employees in my company, but a week's pay can get me a nicely spec'd MacBook Air.
Though I'm in the film industry and we do 60 hour weeks. So lots of overtime, and not unusual to see some double time hours here & there.
>>
>>100141647
That's a bit less than electricity bill costs per year here in Warsaw for me in one small house (~$1300 and set to rise). Property tax is 250ish, gas is 3000ish, water 250ish.

The average salary of someone working in enterprise here is around $1900 brutto according to our national statistics. The cost of an RTX 4090 is over $2000. Even the cost of a 4070 until last year was around $800. Minimum wage is around $750 netto per month iirc. Retirement money is half of that.

>>100141688

$1000 is the average lifetime income of an average Indian in India.
let that sink in.

A pc is supposed to last you 10 years, maybe even longer now that hardware barely improves anymore other than in dude and power consumption. Surely you can save enough for a new pc for 10 years.

it's average not median you dumb sack of retarded shit

Do you not pay the bills for utilities like water? We also have something called rain tax, which you get a discount from if you collect rainwater. An inspector periodically arrives to check it whether it'd be a barrel or a piping system.

I (freedomfag) can, because I have a good job and little debt, no kids.

Most of my friends/family cannot however. There's a huge amount of variability of wealth in the US. These days, dirt-poor people are becoming the norm due to global free trade and corporate capture of the govt

Sort of, but not really. Consider the median sum of money your employer is paying you:
>pension 24%
>income tax 17%
>municipal taxes 8-11%

So really you're left with ~2,3K€ to pay your bills and living expenses. If you live very frugally in low-cost area and make your own food you can get that into ~1K€. So it's _possible_ to buy it with roughly a month's worth of income.

Don't forget you still have to pay 25,5% VAT on everything you buy

Which is inexplicable because the materials aren't any more expensive there than a few counties over. The 'value' of contemporary western housing is purely speculative
>>
This explains the post quality on this fucking board. Its full of goddamn turd-worlders.
>>
>>100142570
No I put it in tax advantaged investment accounts.
>>
>>100143981
No one is allowed to build.
This is because no one wants to socialize
This is because there's no freedom of association and so when people can't choose their friends/neighbors/associates they choose to just not socialize.

The materials aren't more expensive, we're experiencing the early stages of a political crisis.
>>
>>100142464
then buy a fucking x390 for 200€ you retarded cigan
all you poor niggers deserve everything you get

>>100141691
After rent and food, maybe 200 EUR are left so they'd have to save up for 5 months

depends on what job you have. we make more money because we have less taxes taken out. we don't get that safety net that a lot of other people do. it's easier to end up homeless here.

>>100141647
Yes. But in most western countries that'd be considered being poor. The middle class makes like 100k a year these days. 1k on a computer is nothing compared to spending 25K a year on rent.

$2000 per month is barely enough to make ends meet in the west.
Socialized rent for a small apartment is easily 1/3rd of that, leaving only about 1300 for food, subscriptions, clothes, holidays, etc. - enough but only just.

>Mortgage $3000
>Car, gas, insurance $1000

Sure can. Just put it on credit LOL. Thats the American way! $100k is so much money. I'm seriously rich.
