Been out of the loop for a while, can SD do hands now

hands.. never heard of them
>>100163113
show me a gen you actually, personally, consider special, for one reason or another.
>>100163215to elaborate, can SD do hands in a complex scene, engaged in activity, now?

>>100164656>We can simulate 3D figurines as well now?For 3+ months there have been very good models by MiaoKa now WangKa but the pony training allows more poses/buitlin characters. Highly recommending these models.Figures did work even with SD1.5 already tho, just not as well. I suppose we can turn them better into actual 3d with CRM, TripoSR, SV3D [...] tho.
>>100164656Link, try a few of the newest ones:https://civitai.com/user/WangKa/models
>>100164616I do AI images and enjoy doing so but as someone who also draws I'd rather hack my hand off than call whatever I prompt SD to spit out actual art

>>100163215>>100163278It's better when they're closer to the viewer. It struggles when they're farther away. The workaround right now is shooping and inpainting. Basically you can sloppily remove a sixth finger with GIMP/Photoshop/Photopea/whatever then inpaint over it with like 0.2 denoising strength and the inpainting will cover up any sign you shooped it.
>>100164804DJs create music, AI creates art. You can't gatekeep just because 'muh fee-fees hurt'
>>100164656>I don't have a particular beefy GPU to just train everything myselfDepending on what you need to actually do you don't need an extremely beefy GPU. You can also IaaS but pick your own software - work with the Krita integration or a ComfyUI workflow that produces quite a few variants. It's not a 100% established thing.
I don't care what it's called, I just like making pretty/cool pics.

>>100164606Nighthawks
>>100164823Of course it's subjective to an extent but to me actual art is where you have full creative control, when I draw I have control about every little dot and line to the extent I'll never have with AI generators, even tools like controlnet etc offer that level of control. Maybe AI wil lallow that level in the future, but now it is far from it and more like giving another artists directions or at best supply them with a rough sketch, whilke the rest of the work is up to that artist(not me), just that in that case the AI happens to be the artist. The difference between my enjoyment of generating AI images and drawing myself is like having the xtra long chili cheese at burgerking because I feel like it, and actually cooking a full meal for myself(and I enjoy cooking).
>>100164731Throw in a "white background" promptchunk to mix it up.
>>100164916>tools like controlnet etc don't offer that level of control offer that level of control*
>>100164916>to me actual art is where you have full creative control, when I draw I have control about every little dot and lineSo to you then if you use splattering as a technique it's no longer art? You don't have control over where each drop lands.
>>100164731>style which is communist subversion/perversion of art intended to make people not love/want to protect their cultureNot the best example.

>>100164882>I don't care what it's called, I just like making pretty/cool pics. it's pretty much the same with cameras or pencils, most people just make pictures and are happy with the result, extremely few people care about art at all

>>100164916but did you arrange the paper molecules exactly first so you know where the pigments deposit? else it's not art
>>100164939Even splattering allows more control than the current AI generators, you have choice about the type of canvas, kind of color, how you mix it to achieve the proper viscosity and effect you want etc. Maybe AI will come this far eventually but as of now it's far from it and basically giving anotehr artist directions, only that in that case the artist is an AI. It's not my work, someone else has done it.
>>100164989>type of canvasYou can control the equivalent of that with AI.>kind of colorYou can control this.
>>100164893amazing
>>100164916If you didn't crossbreed your ingredient's seedlings over several generations from scratch can you really call it having control over your cooking?
>>100165011You tell someone else(the AI) on hwo they shoudl do it, then you roll until you get somethign that kinda looks like what you want, or modify your prompt until the AI gives you something that sort of looks like something you like. You order someone else to do it.

>>100165108so you tell us art was not art until recently, so why should anybody care
>>100165113>no need to be rude nowYes, there is.
>>100165108And when you can gen good pictures you might start seeing it as a craft onto itself
>>100165076about 240 minutes excluding putting whole thing as video.
>>100165136hey we have that one too
>>100164987>Thought only Adobe went full in with their AI companionsNo, the open source tools also do integrate a bunch of these features into editors over time.Other features are still very much a moving target tho. Some may require a more tech hands-on approach with ComfyUI or such. It will be a moment until simplified workflows that do (nearly) everything IPadapters can do show up in image editors and so on and so forth.
>>100165118All of these have, and currently still have, much more of a hands-on approach and level of creative control beyond what AI currently offers. Look at this pretty image. I gave someone else some directions then pressed a button until I got this. My contribution does not go beyond the basic idea.

>>100165173ofc>>100165135and it remains to be seen if making art something separate from craft is something positive, since this how you get people spraying paint onto a canvas from their assholes and call themselves "artist" for doing it

>>100165282>nothing is.bingo
>>100165310Could be fixed with AI, but it was funny. And AI is better used to make new art, not deal with low tier legacy art.
>>100165357great one
>>100165316AI imagery is still nowhere near the level of photography as it does not allow the level of control a simple photographer has like eg slightly changing the angle, manipulating lighting, subject etc. A big hurdle there is the lack of long term memory current AI generators have so you can't finetune a scene to the level a photographer can, and instead have to rely on chance. Once AI gets proper long term memory it'll be a huge step to allowing true creative expression.
