>Move some files from my windows 10 laptop to my windows 11 laptop.>Takes a while to load files on my windows 10 computer to my SD card. A little over 3gb.>Drag and drop them onto my windows 11 laptop.>Takes less than a minute for it to be on my computerHas this happened to anyone else using windows 11? Holy shit that was fast.
>>100165868It would be even faster if you used Teracopy.AndIt would be fastest if you used Robocopy.
>two different computer>WAOW WINDOWS 11 IS SO FAST
>OP discovers write/read speed differencemore news at 8
>>100166106The windows 11 laptop is older. Might have some different specs, but the processor on my windows 10 is faster.>>100166155Yeah, I'm new, that why I was asking.
>>100166155oh my tech illiteracy, this generation is doomed!anyways, look at this cool pepper
>>100165868SD card.Write sloooooooow.Read fast.
>>100165868rsync is 20x faster than either
This is why I use 4chan. So I can be retarded and not have to have my name attached to my dumb inquires
>>100165868>reading is faster than writing>holy shit windows 11 is so fast!
>>100166536Well, I'm testing dragging and dropping the same file onto my windows 10 desktop. Not as fast as my windows 11, but whatever, its likely the older windows 11 laptop just having faster write speeds. I'm a big dumb.
>>100166401I discovered rsync recently. Been using it over my home wireless. It's like, 2MB/s. Old computers so maybe the spinning rust drives are to blame? Or is there a speed setting that defaults super low?
>>100166252Green Is My Pepper.
>>100166591>>100166401You /g/guys don't need rsync if you're using windows. Just use Robocopy with the /MIR switch to mirror the two drives. After the first pass it will only write changes to the destination. It's fast as fuck and built into windows OS. You can't get faster than something built into the OS that you use via command line.
>>100167167>if you're using windowsthen OneDrive.
>>100167196>One drive for file transferIf you have time, I guess. Is it gb speeds?
>>100167249It's cloud.Give it everything.Speed doesn't matter.Only that the data goes in.
