About a month ago, I noticed on my new and old laptops that command prompt would briefly flash open on some start-ups before closing immediately, However after trying some virus removal programs I found MSERT (Microsoft Safety Scanner) and decided to run it, Here's what happened.

On my first scan, It appeared to be stuck scanning at the end so I tried closing the program where it then told me nothing malicious was found.

Before my second scan, I saw my usual command prompt flash open before using the program, But after letting MSERT scan without trying to close the program, It froze a little while before telling me it again there was no viruses on the device. Now this is when my new Laptop stopped this issue.

Later I took out my old laptop, and after an MSERT scan the results screen told me it removed one virus, Now It also doesn't have the same command prompt issue.

Well that's what would I say, But just today, A good month seperated from when I used MSERT and had done many factory resets, The command prompt thing came back and flashed on start-up.

What's happening here? Natural process that chose not to show itself due to MSERT or is this some autisticly sophisticated virus?
