Literally all you need.
>>100178298I'm running Mint and I also agree. If Debian was the only distro then normies would actually start to pick up Linux because all the resources could be poured into 1 distro.

You shouldn't have to settle with what you need vs. what you want with Linux. You can have your cake and eat it too, given sufficient skill.
>>100178380debian gives you an efficient OS and all the software one could ever want. no?
if I'd go back to Debian I'd ONLY - I repeat - ONLY use stable because that's why Debian is great
>>100178380but i get both what i need and what i want, what is the issue?
I've never been more convinced that Debian and Mint are the only distros that exist. Everything else is a psyop.
>>100178298>>100178370I prefer Arch
>>100178298I use deb ian on servers And noob ubuntu on desktopDont complaining at me. it is my meth OD
>>100178298Been using Debian for a few months now, and it is stable as a rock and has pretty solid (if old) software support and range. But the version of docker in the repos hasn't been maintained for over a year, and there's been no new updates to the package for 6 months (even in testing), and it seems to be slated for removal due to bugs:https://tracker.debian.org/pkg/docker.ioSo I am reasonably unsatisfied with the docker experience on Debian. Ubuntu's docker.io package is only slightly behind upstream. I'd prefer not to use the docker-ce third party repo for docker on Debian.

Anyone here use testing? I've been considering it for access to newer software that doesn't get backports, like ffmpeg. Does it crash or bug out often?
Yep. Debian 12 stable, KDE installer, x11 session. Now there's a distro.
