Well I used crunchbang after using straight debian, which was just debian with it's own extra repo for tweaks and themes, but that got discontinued so in search of a new OS I installed xubuntu and just stuck with that.

I should note at the time (2013?) Ubuntu was still considered to be just another version of Debian. That was before snaps and unity and such.

Unironically for me it was
Windows -> Ubuntu -> Mint -> Fedora -> openSUSE -> Arch -> Fedora -> Nobara -> Fedora -> Arch -> 2 Year Gap -> Ubuntu -> Windows

I just realized if I'm willing to tolerate corposlop from Ubuntu just to get superior stability and peace of mind compared to Arch then I should just use windows at that point.
