Alright I need help filling this in. Maybe it doesn't need to be filled in at all. This is an absolutely NO NONSENSE list where nostalgia is a not an option. Every distro has to serve a specific purpose and historical merit means nothing. This is the list you would give a friend who wants to insall linux but can't figure out which distros are garbage because of all the opinions and noise. Tinkertrannies not welcome if it wasn't obvious enough.

There's only a few distros even worth mentioning, everything else is slop.

>Fedora -/ openSUSE
>Arch
If you don't like any of these might as well just give up on linux and move back to windows and mac, there's no greener pasture, it's as good, safe, reputable, professional as it gets.

Why would you give him a "list" instead of telling him to install Nobara (if he has Nvidia hardware) or Mint (if he doesn't)?

Agree, but should add Endeavor if you dont want to have to follow a page to install. And no, archinstall is still not as reliable as it needs to be.
