/g/ I picked up a Precision 7560 yesterday and I fucking love it>Xeon 11855-W 6-core>128gb RAM>1TB NVME>NVIDIA A4000 Quadro 8gbI'm fairly sure I can do a bootable NVME raid on this thing on a fucking laptop, the last machine I had that could do that was a Threadripper desktop. What a hell of an upgrade over a 2960XM, which will be my ECU tuning laptop now for my track car.Has a new battery too. It does have W10 but I have debated dual booting Linux on it too at some point.

EPOXY ON MY RAM & ROM.

I want to buy a Thinkpad T14 because the Black Friday deal looks pretty good. You can get an AMD 32GB for under $1,400. However, my M1 MBP 16GB probably is good enough for now. It just doesn’t have the comfy factor anymore, and Thinkpads have a mysterious charm to them. Maybe I’ll wait for the M4 Air.

Black Friday wise, since we don't have a proper laptop thread - would it be a stupid idea to buy a heavily discounted laptop with the inferior screen option and then buy the superior panel a few months from now and replace it?I'm thinking the price gap to get a non-discounted, superior panel model will be WAY more than the cost of the panel I've already priced out and it's kind of a no-brainer.

Will this be good enough for years?for a workstation and coding.ThinkPad P16s Gen 2 | AMD Ryzen™ 7 PRO 7840U | 64 GB LPDDR5X - 6 400MHz | 1 TB SSD M.2 2280 PCIe Gen4 Performance TLC Opal
Is it worth it selling my 2570p to get x1 tablet gen1?
>4800 mhz RAM has better timings than 5600 mhz RAM>system will only support 4800 mhz and will downclock the 5600 mhz RAMIs it better to buy the 4800 for the better timings or is this meaningless autist shit?
>>103294558If your use case doesn't fully saturate the memory bandwidth, then you're better off with lower latency.Gaymen = low latency Content creation, editing, etc = higher bandwidth (generally)
Are the thinkpads of recent years any good? My grandma's in the market for a decent laptop.
