Apple was found on this shitty computer. What's your excuse for not starting your own tech company?
>>
I'm not as smart as Steve Wozniak. I wouldn't be able to make anything nearly as advanced as that.

founded is to start something
found is find something you lost
Maybe basic english before comp-sci
>>
>>103290978
It wasn't shitty at the time. Learn how to manage your hindsight, you ADD moron.
>>
>>103290978
never mind our excuse. what's yours, tyrone? what the fuck have you contributed to humanity?

>>103290994
steve wozniack wasn't that smart either. he got his idea for the apple 1 from don lancaster's tv typewriter released a few years earlier and woz's idea of getting colour out of the apple 2 was known about and documented in an electronics book.

Sure, let me just take 5 min to set up my tech company in my garage real quick.

You mean a linux distro
>>
>>103290978
Was it shitty in 1976 for the home consumer?
>>
>>103291951
Bruh. It's a manky old briefcase with a transformer right next to the keyboard lol and a loose tape recorder to bang against everything when the case is shut. How on earth did Jobs approve this design?WP0RK
>>
>>103292753
They didn't sell any case with it, They just sold the board and parts.
>>
>>103292739
>Was it shitty in 1976 for the home consumer?
at the time it was kinda new to have a computer in your home but it was ridiculously expensive (around $3700 in today's money) and incredibly limited in what it could do. apple sold less than 200 of them.
>>
>>103292753
> jobs
> approving anything
all of apple's early systems until the mac was basically woz with steve job making coffee. jobs had no say over any designs. he was the salesman. woz has stated in many interviews that jobs couldn't code, didn't know electronics, didn't know anything at all about computers and didn't care about them. jobs was only interested in the money.
>>
>>103290978
What's that pile of crap's use case?
>>
>>103292970
Right, but didn't jobs also bankroll it?
>>
>>103293543
>Right, but didn't jobs also bankroll it?
woz and jobs paid for it via orders through a computer store. byte computers couldn't sell them. nobody wanted to build a computer. customers wanted one already built. when apple decided to be a serious computer manufacturer it was funded by investors. jobs really was that useless in the early history of apple and remained as useless until he died. it's like people forgot how he was fired from apple and only brought back into the company when apple bought next computers from jobs (yet another system steve had no hand in building except grunting to underlings on what to create).
>>
>>103290978
what does it do?

where is it? I don't see any

>What's that pile of crap's use case?
didn't really have one. they did much better with the apple 2 as it didn't require you to solder the fucker together yourself. the apple 2 was already in development by woz when they were trying to sell the apple 1 but they couldn't find anyone to manufacture it. they approached commodore computers to build the apple 2 and apparently were in talks with jack tramiel (ceo of commodore). that fell apart over how much money commodore would make selling a computer worse than what they've already got in the making. jack was right. pet, vic20 and c64 outsold apple 2 in spectacular style. apple couldn't even catch up to the amiga until the mid 1990s. they were always years behind everyone else but charging twice as much for out of date hardware.

Who were the early investors?

I see this kind of story told often.

>irrelevant crap
>a rather miraculous loan is rushed over
>[literally the real building the business stuff skipped]

there were a few. one of the first investors was a dude named mike markkula. he got rich and retired from working at intel. pumped $250k into the company. here's a photo:
>>
>>103290978
I don't wanna work that much, I just want to complete the bare minimum of Jira tickets per sprint so as not to get fired
>>
>>103294528
wasn't too much work for jobs. woz was working incredibly hard, until his plane accident and he decided to gtfo away from jobs and apple.
>>
>>103294867
Jobs had to talk to people and do presentations, I'd rather kill myself
>>
>>103290978
I don't know what to build that could be profitable. Most of the stuff I good at is hyper niche stuff. I have a very good job thanks for that and make way more money than the average engineer, but it is not enough to build a company from scratch.
I'd need to find an investor with way too much money to spare and willing to take massive gambles.
>>
>>103294446
You always wonder where those guys come from.
>>
>>103290978
Shut up, I'm working on it.
>>
>>103290978
It's not the 70s. Seriously. All the low-hanging technology apples have been plucked from that tree. Now you have to compete some corporation or a blessed VC startup. Good luck.
>>
>>103292753
Because everything else was shittier, and Jobs got Woz to arrange the components in clean orderly rows.
>>
i dont think this was ever confirmed but im pretty sure the CIA was involved in Apple's huge growth and success as has been the case for many other behemoths like Microsoft and Facebook, maybe even OG Twitter (i think)
Gates' dad being a billionaire philanthropist intimate friend of the Rockefellers wasn't common knowledge until the internet became more widespread, so he also went with the whole bullshit about "Harvard dropout" for decades
Jobs biological parents weren't just some random nobodies but rather successful millionaires too, his father owned casino chains and shit, Bezos also comes from a family of big money
