When did it all start going wrong with Intel? These guys had a massive advantage and were the leaders of chips, and now NVIDIA is eating their lunch and it looks like there is no chance of Intel catching up. What tech and business decisions did Intel make that sealed their fate?
when they went for 10nm they tried to add too many things at once and they didnt work outtsmc improved their processes with small steps with the help of apple who paid handsomely for the priviledge of using the next most densest nodeThen you had a decade of intel making chips on worse nodes than competition because it was still economical, but now they're doing chiplets for the first time and need time to fine tune it, amd had to spend years to get any good cpus out with chiplets and even then they require large l3 cache to make their architecture work,
