After >106599368 KDE and Tech Paladin went full HR mode and wrote statements:
that furry weirdo https://akselmo.dev/posts/bluesystems-to-techpaladin/
>I am really bad with traveling due to anxiety and I was still recovering from the Akademy 2024, I skip this get-together.
>I get a video call from the get-together, where I'm told news: the team that has the Valve contract is being laid off.
>A lot of differences in opinions. Long debates. Talks.
>Everyone had their own opinions and plans.
>My wife gets really sick and has to spend chunk of December in hospital.
>I have zero energy for any of the work governance things.
>I just wanted to make sure I have job and get my salary.
>Thus, I did not really care what the plan was going to be.
>Eventually, we decide Nate's plan for this is the easiest.
>I assume everyone in Valve team went through this discussion. I do not know anything else.

TLDR: VALVE is in full control over KDE at this point?
>>
>>106610563
Honestly I don't think KDE plasma is going to last much longer without a schism occuring.
I don't mean "schism" in a malicious way but more that there is a large portion of KDE that is constantly pushing for newer and shinier pastures and a small portion that keeps reminding them that they have other obligations (such as being a functional DE...) but the people who want new shiny bullshit seem to also be all the ones in a position of power and repeatedly overrule everyone else in order to pay for kdenlive developers and video editors instead of finding someone to (for example) actually fucking explain to new users what in gods name kde wallet is for.

Sounds like a good thing.

Can OP be any more of a fucking retard? Give some context instead of greentext filler thoughts you imbecil and post a photo of the guy actually getting fired, not Nate LMAO

Jesus what a waste of the 2000 character limit

most linux kernel maintainers use macos anyway so why not throw another one on there
at least with valve you might get an interface worth considering
>>
>>106610563
Friendly reminder: Valve has had paid shills and employees on 4chan since Portal release.

These threads are dissing a man who opposed selling KDE to Valve and that's the real reason for this drama.

Valve normalized DRM and your software being rented instead owned.
>>
>KDE sold to Valve
Holy based, maybe KDE will still work on X11 after all
>>
>>106611530
>at least with valve you might get an interface worth considering
as if steam is not the worst UX to ever exist. There are at least 3 different major designs at all times and 25 different button styles for the same action

>These threads are dissing a man who opposed selling KDE to Valve and that's the real reason for this drama
OP here, I'm doing the opposite, I'm dissing Nate and his new valve sellout company because nobody's talking about this.

valve is all in on wayland retard
gamescope is a wayland compositor
>>
>>106611627
still better than the "guis" (incomplete cli wrappers) that most linux environments try to pass off as real programs
>>
>>106611650
>valve is all in on wayland retard
Valve literally told wayland to fuck off because it's not ready yet
>gamescope is a wayland compositor
https://github.com/ValveSoftware/gamescope
X11 actually, or using XWayland on Wayland
You lost.
>>
>>106610563
404 drama not found.

Some people from company A left to form company B. Some FAGGOTS who were left behind at company A because they were FUCKING FAGGOTS were a bit salty about not getting invited to company B.

Fuck off OP. Sneedacity and other open source drama was more entertaining than this. This shit is reaching.

>>106610563
Nate needs the spinning nazi circle thing behind his head and glowing eyes he's pretty based emthinks
>>
>>106611650
Valve is using X11 as a desktop session, steam overlay doesn't support Wayland, cs2 defaults on x11 when Wayland is a default in SDL3 for supported compositors, compositor side of gamescope is pretty barebones, it's basically xwayland compositor.
