RTX 50 Super: 2026 launch. 24GB VRAM for 5070 Ti & 5080 Super, 18GB for 5070 Super.

>Omissions
RTX 5070: buy if it's reasonably priced & if you plan to work around potential VRAM bottlenecks.
RX 9070 non-XT: worth considering if it's significantly cheaper than the 9070 XT.

Intel 13 & 14th gen i7/9 -K CPUs: BIOS update required due to reliability issues. Recommended to set a CPU VR voltage limit (1.4 or 1.45V).

real talk, would using this case with a 5090 not just guarantee that the fans will be throttling nearly 24/7? I can't imagine this case can handle high performance whilst also not turning into a jet engine.

>If you want a good gayming monitor go for a benq with environment light sensor. This allows you to automatically adapt the picture to the current environment light
i sit in a dark room with sunscreen taped shut lol. Honestly i think im either buying a cheap 2-300$ random 1440p now, or im gonna sit on the fence for a couple more months and hopefully grab a good deal @ black friday on oled (last year had some pretty good monitor deals).. But waiting when i get my new build tomorrow is gonna suck.. ugh
>>
>>106618636
If you want a good gayming monitor go for a benq with environment light sensor. This allows you to automatically adapt the picture to the current environment light, which is better than most people expect. Delta E<2 on oleds doesnt mean shit if the environment light destroys the grey balance and makes the black levels vanish.

Even better would be a graphics monitor, but they are pretty much limited to 60Hz and only look good in a light controlled environment - which is unfeasible for anybody except photofags
>>
>>106619193
I guess youre fine then. Just choose one that is actually flicker free. It will be better for your eyes.
>>
>>106619118
I think the game just hates boost clocks

how to know which ones have flicker? just google reviews? or are some panel types more inclined to have it?

Look up reviews ye. OLEDs always flicker in the refreshrate interval if it displays darker colors. VA, TN and IPS depend on the backlight. Its fine if its pwm dimming with at least 3kHz or if its dc-like dimming. Ideally the review has some measurements with a graph and the ms on x-axis, showing brightness on the y-axis.

Picrel shows the Samsung S95F OLED TV which clearly has brightness dips with the refreshrate but reviewers still claim that OLEDs are flicker free which is a flat out lie. I guess they just cant use their brains properly or something. They have the data right in front of them and they dont recognize it
>>
>>106619259
who isnt? cards come pre oc'd these days.
>>
>>106619354
don't be retarded, are you manually applying any overclocks or undervolts? if yes, that is why you're crashing, dumbass

Wouldn't this PC be a million times better with two giant 200mm(?) fans in the front? More efficient and would push far more air than those 8.
>>
>>106619426
?
The 5090, 5080, and 9070xt run hot because they can pull assloads of power
>>
>>106619475
Why aren't 200mm fans popular?
>>
>>106619498
guess
>>
>>106619426
"Under load" means differently depends on what game, resolution, fps, settings youre targeting, retard. Temp depends on your card's power draw and cooling solution. The 2060 super is very low powered.
>>
>>106619426
>why do cards pulling 400 watts run slightly hotter than my card that pulls less than 200 watts
gee i wonder
>>
Im playing with 60 fps cap for better letency, keeping my gpu below 100% around 80-90%. I wonder if the power cycles of full load to no load, to full load 60 times a second harm my gpu. It means that temps probably look like a zig-zag. Its probably no issue at all because it would be extremely retarded if it would

I'm just a novice but can somebody explain why everybody trashes Intel CPU's but most pre-builts and laptops use Intel? I already chose to build my own computer with the 7800x3D, but it's impossible to not notice all the computers with Intel chips on the market. What incentives are these companies getting?
>>
>>106619107
youre supposed to water cool that case senor sperg
>>
>>106619775
it works on any card with int8 support so as far back as pascal (gtx 1000), vega, and intel arc. the better the int8 the faster it will run. for example theres less of a impact on 9070xt than 7900xtx because rdna4 is just way better at int8 and fp8.

5000 series has new display controller. thats the primary upgrade. it does next gen displayport and the framegen tech is done inside the display controller instead of on shader units.
>>
>>106619826
air cools the water
water cooling is all just a scam
it all leads back to air doing all the work
>>
>>106619846
Water is nice because you are moving the heat directly out of the case and not dumping it in a metal box to be sucked up by other components.
>>
>>106619819
Is the quality the same as regular rdna4 exclusive fsr4?
>>
>>106619857
>out of the case
you mean into the reservoir, housed inside the case, cooled by fans

>>106619821

>it does next gen displayport and the framegen tech is done inside the display controller instead of on shader units.
What practical benefits do I, a gaymer, see from this?
