I can't decide if Elon is based or cringe. On one hand, he is hoarding a ton of resources for nothing of value, treating his workers like shit and throwing a tantrum that he cannot replace them with Indians fast enough.
On the other hand, he says retarded shit like this (and his 200x compression algorithm and his city on mars in 10 years) and boomer businessmen are forced to listen to that insanity and take it seriously. On top of that his "plan" for returning to the moon was so bad that it essentially gave China the green light to win the second space race (not my words, but the words of the NASA administrator under Trump)

Duffy was an over-ambitious retard that over-stepped, and he was replaced by Isaacman, the guy Musk wanted to start with. You do not understand space flight. You have not been following rocketry, and it shows. If you don't have a holistic understanding, be silent. I can't fucking stand liberals like you who shill for oldspace and cost plus contracts like SpaceX isn't lapping everyone. Whine about Tesla scamming you or something. That's somewhat accurate at least.

Liberals? NASA administrator under Trump (not liberal) has said that the architecture which involves 20 refueling in space (never done before) using a fuel never used before using a rocket that has never been flown to orbit before is retarded and no NASA administrator would have selected it.
The current architecture? Selected under Biden (a liberal).

>>107166664
You lack understanding of spaceflight. You're parroting arguments from literal lobbyists. Bridenstine is a lobbyist. Duffy didn't give a shit about NASA and just wanted another thing on his resume. What I'm saying is you're taking arguments from careerists at face-value because you hate Musk probably because you're a liberal. Isaacman is Musk's guy and he got put in over the objections of Oldspace grifters. Starship got picked because it was by far the cheapest and all the other rockets' estimates were as bullshit as all rocket cost and time estimates are. Starship can easily go to orbit, and we have seen this from the test flights. They've reached orbital velocity and could easily go further, but they don't because they don't want to blow up their rocket in orbit or have it fall some place unexpected. Go ahead and list the alternatives if you really think Oldspace or "gradatim ferociter" are the way to go. Starship is going to completely change the world, and the Artemis program was ill-conceived from the start. Probably SpaceX will be doing Moon Missions all by themselves.
If you want to say SpaceX can't do things that have never been done before, then you really haven't been paying attention.

Who are you talking about? Duffy was just an interim NASA admin who literally wanted to fold it under the department of transportation. Why do you think he's at all credible? I could just as easily say that Isaacman is far more credible. You know, since he's flown in space and will be the NASA admin. If you're talking about Bridenstine, then he genuinely is a lobbyist. That's just his job. You've also yet to mention any company that you think can do it faster or cheaper. Are you going to say Blue Origin wouldn't miss their deadlines?

NASA cant blame elon for their own incompetence. If elon and spacex didnt exist NASA wouldnt be any farther to accomplishing anything and China would be doing whatever it does regardless. NASA is just seething that spacex is doing more in a few years than they could ever do in a lifetime.

Anon, it's pretty straightforwardly his fault directly
>Promise that your rocket will suck the dicks of all the nasa admins if they just give the contract to elon
>"Oh, by the way, the rocket was never going to be able to do those things, it was actually only ever for unmanned, suborbital starlink launches"
Nasa could have gone to the moon whenever it wanted with an SLS variant IF the mission expected that to be the plan. The plan was built around starship technology that elon never intended to actually develop. When the investigations happen and people find out that all that had ever been worked on wrt to orbital refueling and HLS was a couple of artist renditions hopefully spacex heads will finally roll for tricking everybody into funding a satellite internet service that nobody ever wanted.

The sooner the project becomes "we launch 2 SLS rockets and then direct moon orbit insertion" the better, and we could be on the moon in a year.

2 years delay by the government is government's fault. Biden admin delayed SpaceX launch vehicles so much that Musk threw shit at their faces and launched without their consent. They delayed SpaceX further after that even as well.

Biden admin is made up of castrated faggots that tried to stop SpaceX for their own political games.

SpaceX is precisely responsible for 0 notable spaceflight achievements since inception. Nothing that improves our understanding of the solar system and universe, our capacity for humans to reach LEO and beyond, or any broad re-industrialization of the spaceflight industry has been developed in conjunction with, let alone as a payload on any of their systems.
The Artemis program is just latest major proof of the entire company's corruption and incompetence. The only successful launch and target met was with the system that had 0 involvement with SpaceX.
