Gnome Terminal and sometimes Alacritty. I went through the setup of trying to customize Alacritty and ZSH and it looks nice, but I rarely use it.

Alacritty config was much simpler when it was yaml. The keybinds are a fucking mess in the toml file. The table in the yaml file was perfect.

The cursor column moving over top of terminal text isn't "neon lines crossing over content." The cursor column actually ducks behind the colors of the cells in the actual file buffers if you actually look.

Are wallpapers in the foreground or background?

on x11 i used/use urxvt and on wayland i use foot. two things i do not like about foot is that it renders its own tile bar (does not match gnome for worse), and does not allow any extension. urxvt allows extension with perl. the only thing it has going for it is its fast and light, not a gpu placebo heavy terminal.
>>
I use terminals for everything. Wezterm does all the stuff I want in a convenient way, with default keybindings I can't complain about.
