We are doomed. We are going to die.
>>
>>108104127
The problem is not that we are going to die, the problem is that we are not dying fast enough.
Accelerate.
>>
>>108104127
black holes were never an escape hatch. what is this retardation? it has been known for many decades they evaporate and once they are gone there will be nothing else left.
>>
>>108104127
Explain it to me like i watch TV and vote
>>
>>108104215
>black holes suck everything up, including light
>black holes would be the last objects in the universe after everything else dies and decays to atoms (entropy)
>hawking found out due to timey wimey shenanigans a tiny amount of radiation actually escapes them
>it will take trillions of years, but eventually even black holes will evaporate thanks to that tiny amount of radiation escaping
>in trillions upon trillions of years nothing will exist in the universe except atoms who will be galactic distances apart and will n0ot be able to interact
>no matter, no energy, no interaction or reaction = heat death = eternally cold and unchanging empty universe
>>
>>108104215
This anon knows.
Enjoy your doom NPCs!
>>
>>108104287
then how do you explain that the mass of the Earth grows, not shrinks mr Hawking? there was a theory that it grows fast enough so continents depart as a skin cracks.

when will it start to evaporate?
>>
>>108104127
what makes you think this is the only universe, or the only universe in our universe?
what makes you think anything is finite?
>>
>>108104287
From dust we came and to dust we shall return, anon
This physical plane is completely ephemeral, but it is only one facet of reality, and we have no reason to believe that heat death is the end of ends. Even the fact that the matter that makes up our bodies, the Earth, and the whole cosmos sprung up from nothing is a mathematical impossibility. Why are we to believe that this next time it's going to be permanent for all eternity?
Placing a lot of importance on what the fate of the physical world will come to long after humanity is gone is silly
>>
>>108104401
The discussion was about black holes that mow down everything into energy they gobble up and a tiny bit escapes.

The Earth will be burned to a cinder in 4 billion years after the Sun expands into a Red Giant. If humanity (or whatever it's called then) saves the planet out of sentimentality by moving it or something and the planet does not meet another forceful ending in trillions of years its building blocks, it's molecules, will spontaneously decay into atoms and the planet will disappear bit by bit until it's all gone.

The Earth doesn't grow, some of its atmosphere escapes constantly in space, but a tiny amount of resources is deposited onto it by meteor strikes and shit daily.

don't think. just listen to epstein's buddies

this buddie?

Can you expl as in it uding memes and suchbfrom my fsbourite tv show?
>>
That's gonna happen in like 10 years bro, we'll figure it out
>>
>>108104435
this theory doesnt match the biological life forms that expand faster than non-biological forms. the Earth is alive, it eats sun and it will eat moon, and it will eat other planets and then it will eat other systems and black holes it will eat too
>>
>>108104419
It is not finite. The expansion is infinite and accelerating. The expansion will always accelerate to the point that the distance between each neutrino/photon will be increasing faster than the speed of light, meaning no two particles will ever interact with each other again.
>>
>>108104429
Because in 10^60 years, the protons themselves will decay and no molecule can be formed. There will be nothing but neutrinos, photons and quantum shit separated by void growing faster than speed of light
>>
100% of people reading this thread will DIE
>>
>>108104429
>the Earth, and the whole cosmos sprung up from nothing is a mathematical impossibility
It sprung up from a singularity at t = 0. You cannot have a state where t < 0, because according to general theory of relativity, there is no global time. The closer you would move backwards in time towards the big bang, the more it would slow down, like a geometric series. You can get asymptotically close to t = 0, but you cannot get to t = 0 either. Likewise after the heat death there will be nothing happening either. We are just in the middle where the life will be possible for once in history of everything and going back or forward towards infinity will just yield nothing.

>The current Democratic Progressive Utopia Project sucks up everything — taxpayer dollars, individual freedoms, dissenting opinions, even basic biological reality — into its event horizon of equity and inclusion. Nothing escapes: not merit, not borders, not common sense, and certainly not light (or enlightenment, for that matter).

>These magnificent black-hole bureaucracies would be the last institutions standing after every other structure in society crumbles and decays into atomized individuals obsessed with their own microaggressions (maximum social entropy achieved).

>Then, in a stunning plot twist, it turns out a tiny trickle of radiation actually leaks out — mostly in the form of performative blue-check tweets, virtue-signaling press releases, and the occasional leaked memo about insider stock trades. It's barely noticeable, but it's there.

>It will take trillions upon trillions of years (roughly the time needed to pass a single meaningful budget without 10,000 earmarks for gender studies in Outer Mongolia), but eventually even these indestructible supermassive grievance black holes will slowly evaporate thanks to that microscopic drip of self-own energy escaping.

>In the final googol years of the universe, nothing will remain except sparsely scattered progressive atoms — each one a lone, isolated Reddit moderator or blue-haired pronoun enforcer — drifting at galactic distances from one another, utterly unable to interact, cancel, or form a struggle session.

>No coherent society, no usable energy, no remaining cultural capital to appropriate, no more Twitter pile-ons, no more pronouns in bio = ultimate progressive heat death = an eternally cold, unchanging, empty universe where even the concept of "systemic oppression" has redshifted into irrelevance and silence forever.

>Truly the most equitable ending imaginable: everyone equally nothing.

The science people did some science and the mad lads learned something about african-american holes! Isn't that just neato? Now be a good human and get your booster today! This post brought to you by Pfizer.

Black holes don't exist. Nobody ever saw one
>>
>>108106081
I saw one on /b/ once

It is literally impossible to see since light cannot travel from it's center. It might not even be black in color, we will never know.
>>
>>108104287
These fucks can't even figure out if we're in a global heating or global cooling and they're telling me about events a godzillion years from now. Their theory doesn't apply in practice
>>
>>108106100
Second law of thermodynamics determines that at some point, the maximum entropy of any closed system will be reached and at that point, no physical process will be able to take place, ever.

Black holes, if they are a thing that exists, are just the aftermath of a stellar implosion. They aren't magic. They wouldn't violate shit. They're just a grand scar on the face of the cosmos that eventually dwindles and fades.
Huge amounts of science are just bullshit, and I refuse to be demoralized just because a bunch of them don't want anyone double-checking their spurious bullshit and would rather the money optioned to science is funneled to facilitate child rape.

I can't even figure out if I'll be able to pay my school taxes this fall. Maybe I'll be homeless instead. Who gives a fuck what happens trillions-upon-trillions-with-a-t years from now?
>>
>>108104435
i feel like at that moment in time we would have solved the problem and fixed the universe or at least escaped it. If we understand how the entire universes is built I don't see why we couldn't figure out a solution. We've advanced this far within couple hundred years and we have 4 billion years a long with 4 trillion trillion whatever years I'm sure we'll have a solution.

The weather niggas can't predict whether it's going to rain tomorrow or not, and the physicists who invented dark matter to explain their calculations are wrong hope we believe them lmao
>>
The universe we occupy is inside a black hole, and every black hole in our universe is another universe.
The scale of time just slows down, there can really never be a heat-death just expansin or collapse, also you can't go inside a black hole don't be retarded.
