This is my setup, all I got is a Japanese Dreamcast, a Librebooted T420, and a Core 2 Quad Q9650 ATI Radeon HD 4870 4gb DDR3 shitbox that runs Arch Linux on dwm with my own configs and I can do everything on it. My CRT is a Gateway Solo 1776 LE and it's from 1993.I recently threw away my $2500 Battlestation and decided to limit my internet usage to basic sites like wikipedia and image boards like 4chan, I use w3m as my main go to web browser on urxvt and I use youtube through mpv with youtube-dl and youtube-tui; everything I do is through the terminal and my "Discord" is IRC through IRSSI.
