I'm not calm. I've followed the advise and built an offline lan with a fileserver and a windows XP box and a Windows 7 box (I have not taken my windows 10 machoine offline yet or sorted out a linux machine) I have all the drivers and patches and good installs and I have imaged them. I went to thrift and got a HUGE box of pre steam PC games and have been downloading their patches. I have moved and been editing my MP3 collection and filling in some gaps and added some pr0n and movies and shows I like and codecs, I have my python, C and C++ stuff and patches and libraries. I've been downloading my favorite youtube channels. Next I am going to get the offlinne wikipedia and gutenberg thing working. It's actually been fun doing it not a pain like anons say and reminded me of how good we used to have it. I will keep working away until I have everything I want then move my win10 machine on it and add more offline storage and just have fun there and just use a win10 laptop for webmail and 4chan. The internet was never going to survive corporations and governments. The old games are better too, I got sitracted and spent a night playing emepror battle for dune after just installing it off a DVD to have a look, it's really different to the kind of online games they make now and way better really. I followed advise here and just used old OEM motherboards and ISOs and windows XP and 7 just activated off the BIOS.

It's actually kind of fun. Getting windows 7 right was a bit difficult actually, XP was easy. You have to patch windows 7 in the right way or it does this shit about digital signatues but I got it working perfectly in the end with good drives and AHCI and nvdia drivers. The most diffiocult part was what order to put the patches on and the AHCI. Using XP and Win7 again makes you feel clean, like getting in a shower, offline so no logon, just boots into admin, you can get the OEM isos for them from the internet archive and they just activate immeditaely on the old OEM mother boards.

Regarding my post: the people who I grew up were middle-upper class who could afford computer, and internet in 90's and 00's. Most od them moved onto "good jobs". I did learn a lot about foreign cultures, market, and general task organization in my unc mmos.

Vidéo games in théorie current form are slop. Build like movies and gambling addition with busy work sprinkled on top. As long as the decline in quality doesn't hurt the business numbers, they will still offshore.
Also, we're still in the early stages of mass offshoring. The quality of the foreigners will improve. I work a job which used to be considered unthinkable to offshore away from NA/EU/East Asia yet it is being offshored the fuck out now and the new product coming out are setting revenue records.
