I recently built a new computer and started with a fresh harddrive. besides importing samples and plugins, I'm starting fresh. I decided that I will only start one project and I'm forcing myself to finish it as a full song before making any other projects. I don't care if this isn't the right thing to do or is limiting my creativity. I'm sick of having like 20 different ideas in random project files that never amount to anything. I will complete each project and song.
>>108899847i think thats a great idea anon. i should do something similar too. I also built a new PC recently, transferred my plugins and samples and then all my projects had major issues. I spent a while fixing each broken plugin and getting those old projects to open and play correctly, but still never finished any of them.Ive been meaning to go through all my hundreds of unfinished projects and start saving things out of them. I will spend time making a synth patch, sound designing a pad, chopping up samples, putting together a neat effects chain, etc and all that work for it to sit in an unfinished project. I could probably get a nice collection of things just out of those to reuse.
