Advent of Code was 6 months ago.

Is there anything like it to do in the summer? I remember some anon said he was going to launch "Obon of Code", does anyone know if that's still going to happen?

Haven't they been pumping out variations of the same puzzles over and over since at least 2014?

I don't like it as much.

What about just randomly picking leetcode problems?

well, it may seem like they have a lot of freedom, but they really dont. if you try to come up with 25 problems that are simultaneously approachable, challenging, operate exclusively on ascii text as input and ascii text as output, do not require any platform support other than malloc, can be reasonably solved in a few hours - your search space becomes quite narrow.
and doing it over many years too...

I've been working through previous years. I regret not finishing a full one in real time before 2025. I've noticed a lot of people in those threads saying they've stopped visiting /g/ except for AoC once a year.

The few full-length years I've finished this summer were a lot harder than I'd expected towards the end. I can see why the attrition rate is so high, some of them would be a big ask to finish after a shift or over the holidays.
