Maybe someone has ideas to share or similar cards to look at for inspiration. I'm stuck trying to find a workable concept for a non-romance, adventure+character card with pre-set locations (embedded images). Either with fighting, or with some kind of plot, or at least something interesting to do at each location.

I'm too scared of an railroaded multi-location plot because it's too hard keeping the story on track while also keeping things interactive. But I also don't know how to make self-contained events interesting. This would all happen in a normal modern setting but I'd like to have superpowers and the supernatural involved (either urban fantasy or monogatari style).

I don't have much experience here but my guess is it'll probably take something more advanced than ST to truly do it. Like Marinara engine or whatever it's called that was being shilled. But even then, LLMs are stupid so it's hard to say if it'll really work out that well. Either it'd have to be very railroaded, or the types of plots you do would have to be quite disconnected/self-contained. Otherwise, I'm guessing, the LLM errors will pile up. It'll work for a while, until it doesn't, because of, essentially, the storywriting equivalent of technical debt.

The issue is it can easily caught up in doing meta-analysis about the user (often its internal thoughts being observations that, even if are nominally correct, are just obvious and shallow, along with having no actual relevance to the question and the answer) or its own responses (which it does not actually understand the issue with them). After some deliberation, comedic nonsense and heartfelt confessions, they settle on remedying Miri's problem with Ash playing the Hurdy Gurdy, (an instrument that hails from Ash's homeland in this continuity) Miri's choice, a skill she taught him as she warded him growing up. (Miri raised Ash as well as his ancestors going back centuries, part of her willing service to his dynasty.) Ash hates the instrument but does what needs to be done to provide relief for his servant/mentor because he loves her more than family. My wife and Tara look on, having ridiculed the whole premise and voiced their distaste for the instrument before hearing it. By the end, Miri gets her rest, Tara passes out soon after, and Ash (me) and my Wife exchange a conversation that made me tear up reading and writing it as the hearth burns low.
